    LYDEN PENDLING INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT UPDATED PROJECT

    [WORK IN PROGRESS]

     

     

    DESCRIPTION:

    Updated the default airport of Nassau Bahamas for FS2020. Due to the size of this airport, I won't list my usual updated details. Instead i'll show the progress through the first 9 screenshots sequentially from updated to default shots individually.

    Formerly known as Nassau International Airport, is the largest airport in the Bahamas and the largest international gateway into the country. It is a major hub for Bahamasair, Western Air, and Pineapple Air. the airport is located in western New Providence island near the capital city of Nassau. 

    By special request, I decided to tackle this large airport and try to bring it up to date. It has been the most challenging of all the airports i've done so far mostly because of its size, so much so that i'm still not 100% done and will update more details here and there later on bit by bit.

     

     

     

    INSTALLATION:

    Open and extract ''lexpro-Nassau_updated_scenery_project_v1.0'' (or the version name you choose to download) to your prefered location on your PC, then unZip and open the folder and copy  "Lyden_Pindling_Int_Updated_Scenery_Project" folder into where your Community folder is located, then start the sim and go to MYNN - Lyden Pindling International. That's it!

    Each time I upload an updated version here, just replace the same "Lyden_Pindling_Int_Updated_Scenery_Project"  folder in your Community folder to update the scenery. Make back ups to the old folders if necessary.

    This comment is not about this scenery directly, as it's good, but about the annoying blue and white checkered box issues many still experience at MYNN. I have found a way to determine any offending addon scenery that suffer from the old SDK issues causing this weird problem. Note first that all the "no tree" addons from homecockpit.de cause this issue, and may be fixed by deleting the unnecessary modellib.bgl and texture folder that contains this file in the 'mycompany' folder in those 'no tree' sceneries. They will still work! To find other addon scenery that have this bug, do a search in the community folder , using the search box on the top right of the folder, for TEST_CHECKER.PNG.DDS and then right click each of the results and right click 'open file location' to go to it and either delete the whole addon, or if you want to keep it, try deleting the modellib.bgl and perhaps the textures in the texture folder which may not even be necessary. Hope this helps. I found this myself after reading the arduous efforts others have taken to find and delete offending addon sceneries. Pass on the word. So far it is only an issue at MYNN. And again, not caused by this addon or any other but a weird SDK bug thing. Cheers.

    Awesome work snoopybean. Thank you. I cant believe how you were able to pinpoint the issue :D I deleted all the no trees addons because I was not using them anyway. It was for me more simple way than doing some file hunting and changing them/deleting them. Thanks.

    Interesting comments, the problem is efectively a rogue defective scenery library/object,
    after selective scenery elimination in community folder the culprit for me was dreamscenery enhanced lights packs......all deleted....square gone. Happy flying.

    great job. Is there a GSX profile for this airport? The gates were not showing up within GSX, only GA ramps

    Sorry you're getting those issues but like everybody else, it's always another add-on they download that causes an issue. I haven't been getting any glitches or issues on my end with this scenery. Try temporarily removing all your add-ons in your community folder except my scenery and then try again and see if the glitch disappears.

    If you have Culebra scenery, delete it. It's causing your issues at Nassau. I had the same problem and solved it by removing Culebra from my Community Folder.

    Hi, wonderful airport, better than a lot of payware. I had a nice run into Rwy14 with no issues with strange boxes or colours appearing. Very nice stable approach. Great work, the scenery looks great and blends in nicely and with a few Bahamas Air 737's parked up when I got there. 5 stars.
