Asobo made very significant changes to the bush trip engine in SU10. Happily the rework that Asobo carried out has paid very obvious dividends and the whole bush trip experience is now vastly superior to that of a year ago. As a result I don't feel that there is a real need for separate navlog extracts any longer, so intend that this release, which will include all official trips up to and including the New Zealand trips, will be the final one from me.
As regular users know, these files can be printed, studied, annotated as you like prior to or when flying the bush trips. You shouldn't need to display the navlog on screen, so saving screen space. You can save the zipped folder(s) anywhere you like, they don't need to go in the Community folder.
Please note that the distances and headings may be marginally different from those in the navlogs. This is primarily down to our continuing use of magnetic headings, which are never quite the same day to day due to the continual movement of the earths core. The sim calculates them as you fly. And I dare say the sim's magnetic variation calculations may use a different methodology to that I use in preparing these extracts!
The trip downloads are split as follows.
The 2020-21.zip file has zips for each of the original trips (Alaska, Balkans, Chile, France, Nevada), Western Europe (Austria, Germany, GrandAlpine and Swiss) and the Nordic trips (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden).
The 2022.zip file has zips for Australia (GreatBarrier, Kimberley, SeaDesert, SEAus and Tasmania), Iberia (Iberia, Med Coast, Portugal and Pyrenees), Italy/Malta (Sicily, Sardinia, Apennines) US WU 10(Appalachians, Megalopolis and California) and finally the Canada trips (Newfoundland, Rockies and Vancouver).
The 2023.zip just has the NZ trips.
The latest trips are now in the main zip, you just want those if you already have the earlier trips.

Yes, a single zip file would be more simple for me, but it would make the download larger. Many people have completed the earlier trips and are only interested in the more recent trips. If I carry on doing this I might provide zip files by year going forward. If anyone else has views on this please let me know.

Reading this exchange 11 months later... m8 the whole thing is tiny, less than 50MB; not a big deal either way imo but why not just put it in one file and use directories to divide it up?
