About

This is a G3000 style flight display (PFD + MFD + TSC) for android devices (tablets recommended).

You can add your own definitions for gauges to add aircraft you personally own but it already includes some defaults for all planes from the premium deluxe edition (made to my liking so feel free to modify).

Took a long time to create but I hope people will enjoy it and get some use out of it. It uses your local network so you can use it anywhere as long as you're connected to the same network.

If you feel like a feature is missing or find any bugs let me know. (preferebly by opening an issue on github, there you can also check if someone else opened an issue addressing the same problem as you have)

Also note that I cannot fix all issues, some are inherent to the limitations of the variables provided by the SimConnect SDK

For those of you that like spaghetti:

NOTES:
- I changed the way the definitions are saved and their location too. I however made sure to make the saves all backwards compatible, you should be able to use your old definitions (stored in C:\Users\Mikey\AppData\Roaming\MKootstra\Gauge Designer\Definitions
- This was a very big reworking of the project, due to that there are probably a lot of bugs that I've not yet found. If you do find any, please let me now by opening an issue on github (and check if someone else didn't post the issue already)
- Since I switched to cmake for my build tools (instead of qmake) I can currently not create a multi abi (the architecture of the cpu of your android device) apk file, for most of you the arm64-v8a version should be right, and for older devices most likely armeabi-v7a. If you don't know which abi you should get, install something like AIDA64 and look for CPU>Instruction Set
- I changed some definitions, so some probably got a bit messed up, but you can use the designer to fix them to your liking

- If automatic connection does not work, you can connect manually by clicking the connection state dot in the app (the red/green/spinning circle in the topleft of the leftmost screen)

I will probably create a new manual soon when I have the time

mayday someone can helps me ? maydayyyyy flysafe everyone !

Impossible to connect, ip and port i write same and host..... impossible

Hi, great work! How can I change something on the PFD? When I open GaugeDesigner, always the Engines, Fuels and staffs come up from the MFD.

Hello,

Connection SimConnect Server to MSFS is ok but

Still no connection from APK (new version) to SimConnect Server (new version), Simconnect server show a strange IP adress : 172.30.208.1 and port 47533

I expected 192.168.1.25 (ethernet) or 192.168.1.125 (wifi) which are IP adress of the PC where simconnect is running

I don't know what is this IP adress 172.30.208.1...

I tried the port 47533 with the 3 IP, but no connection, tried to disable the firewal, same result... 😞

Just a big thanks for this latest update. The ability to connect multiple clients to the one server is really appreciated.

I tried to install, but I have no clue how I can install the flightDisplayCompanion on my Android device. I read something from APK and we should read the description. But honestly I dont know what is the APK and which description i should read. Where is that. Can anyone give me a Checklist what i should do to Install the Android APP?

Looks like I have the same issue as a few others have reported. Server connects to sim just fine, can select aircraft and flight plan okay. Just cannot get the client to connect to the server.

Tried two different tablets and both versions of the APK. App starts fine but never connects. Have tried reinstalling APK and server, restarting, verifying firewall entries etc. but will not connect. Previous version was working fine.

Any ideas? Also, is there a revised PDF guide?

Simconnect server running and connected to msfs but can't get it connected to android app, no settings about connection in the android app or the simconnect server

Hi,

Latest version of Simconnect Server installed on PC, Connection ok with sim, firewall disabled

APK (tried with v7 and v8) installed on tablet and smartphone, same wireless network as PC (ping ok), wait long minutes and no connection to Simconnect Server

An idea ?

The precedent version worked perfecly (I love it !)

Thanks

I got a Network unreachable message in Android side. Any idea? The tablet is OK on using last version. On PC side firewall have add "Allow" rule for any protocol, any network type and bi-direction connection. I am using arm64-v8a and allowed location and file access right. Is there any log for us to debug?

Hi, does anyone here know if there is either on serverside or in android-app a way to set the port (or at least see which port and protocol is used). I installed server and app and they dont connect. Firewall is open for simconnect and tablet use the same network Thanks

Hello. My English being pitiful, I go through a translator. A big thank you for this application that works on my tablet except that there is no interaction between the PFD, MFD and Nav/Com buttons of the tablet and those of the simulator. Only the Nav Source button of the PFD works, I can switch between the different sources. This is the G3000 on TBM930 by default msfS2020. Is this normal?

Hello! Thank you for the update, it is amazing, easier and the re-designs are just beauty.

I've been testing it today and everything seems to work nice (new features and stuff) and I managed to "import" my old planes to the new folder without big problems. The NAV SOURCE is a great feature, now I can see the CDI! Thaaankksss

And.. well... I really hate to be that guy but... the Glide Slope doesn't seems to work... It is there and appears at the same time in the cabin, but it stays still, in the center, never moves, no matter what I do.

Am I doing something wrong again?

installed. The server connects, but the only app I was able to install on my tablet was Flight Display Companion armeabi-v7a, but the app doesn't connect to the server. Am I doing something wrong?

I installed both files but there must be an android application to work? because at the moment I can't do anything

This is one of the best addons in the site. I've been using this for a while in an old tablet and oh man, it changes everything. Thank you.

Question: Yesterday I was doing an ILS approach and noticed the Green CDI of the LOC wasn't showing up in the tablet (but it was on the plane, the default King Air 350i). The GS was there without problems. Is this a bug or I'm missing something?

EDIT: After a couple test, I noticed the Green CDI never shows up

Is this still working for everyone? I cannot get the server to connect to the sim. Mobile connecting to the server is fine, it's just the sever to sim connection that isn't working anymore.

Hi, I'm flying in a a Milviz C310R, but it does not appear in the list of the tablet. How can I use it?

Can you explain how to use more than one instance of this app?

to run on a second tablet?

Not sure how to get simconnect to open a second instance either

Fantastic, just wht ive been looking for for my MFD
