Description
Fictional but realistic Alaska Airlines livery for the Asobo Boeing 787-10.
While Alaska Airlines does not fly the 787, or any wide-body airliner for that matter, I have always wanted to see this livery from the much-beloved Seattle-based airline make it to the Dreamliner. It was fun to bring this one to life, and I hope others enjoy it as well!
Any feedback would be most welcome!
Installation: Unzip to your community folder.
Note: This livery references the official KLM 787 livery models, so please ensure that this is installed. I chose to do this because I prefer the registration number location on these models. If you do not have the official KLM livery for whatever reason, you will need to change the LOD references in the B787.xml to the default paths (../../Asobo_B787_10/model/B787_lod0.gltf and so on). If you make this adjustment, just note that the flag will not line up with the registration number, and you will see an additional large registration number on the rear fuselage.
Known Issues: I believe this issue is common to all 787 textures made with the traditional method, but zooming out will severely distort the livery due to issues with the UV maps on the low LOD models. For this reason, AI traffic using this livery is not turned on by default. I believe this can be fixed with the new decals/no-mirroring method, but this is beyond my capability at this point.
