    [wiki]     Marksburg is a castle above the town of Braubach in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is one of the principal sites of the Rhine Gorge UNESCO World Heritage Site. 
    The fortress was used for protection rather than as a residence for royal families. 
    It has a striking example of a bergfried designed as a butter-churn tower. Of the 40 hill castles between Bingen am Rhein and Koblenz the Marksburg was one of only two which had never been destroyed (the other being Maus Castle) and at least the only one that had never fallen into disrepair.

    Im Anflug ist sie leider nicht zu sehen. Sobald man über die Stelle fliegt. schießt die Burg aus dem Boden.

    Unfortunately, it cannot be seen on the approach. As soon as you fly over the spot. shoots the castle out of the ground.

    Muss an Deinem System bzw. Simulator liegen. Bei mir ist sie schon von weitem zu sehen.

    onlyforbrian, I have the same problem, and I live in the "big bloody town" (what is the city of Koblenz). The Marksburg is not where it should be. Surely I know the site very well.

    Are you sure you have the right airports EDRK and EDJV?? Because I can't find Marksburg, I flew back and forth on that flightpath 6x and I can't find it. Also when I get to the Rhine on the flightpath, it looks nothing like your photos. After I pass those 2 bloody huge towers and drop into the Rhine valley, there's a big bloody town at the river, nothing like your pics.

    Thank you. Nice to have some castles on the Rhine. Here the colours need a little more work though
