Kalmar Öland airport was built as an airforce base in 1942 named F12. In 1957 the military airport started catering for regional flights to Stockholm. Today you can fly charter or regional flights from Kalmar Öland Airport. One challenge when building the airport was the unusual shape of the terminal as well as the dug in hangars left from the time as an airforce base. I had wery good background images provided by Lennart Arvidsson and Ola Pettersson. The scenery includes the famous landmark Kalmar Castle on the coast, you see it on your right when approaching runway 34. This is the first version and I may build more later on.
I want to credit Stanisław L for the model of the castle at 3D Warehouse and Manilov for the model of J35 Draken in front of the terminal."J35" (https://skfb.ly/YVBJ) by manilov.ap is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/).
Version 1.1 includes new objects, hangar 91, a boot for parking tickets and an ad stand. Also named taxiways and added some taxiway signs. The castle now have night lighting visible from long distance.

Hi there, thanks for the scenery! Is there any chance you can remove the 'Cookin' Catering track which is encroaching on stand 3.

Very beautiful little airport. The airport building is very beautifully modelled and even the landside area looks great. The included model of the Kalmar castle (in combination with the Öland bridge from the World Update) made for a stunning RNP 34 approach. Thanks for creating this scenery!
