    Description

    EDDN – Nuremberg Airport “Albrecht Dürer”
    This scenery is a complete overhaul of Nuremberg Airport (EDDN) – “Albrecht Dürer”, developed by Gate17.

    It is our first-ever scenery project and aims to deliver a significantly more realistic and immersive representation of Nuremberg Airport compared to the default MSFS version.

    The project is still a work in progress, but each release is already fully usable and includes numerous improvements to airport layout, markings, and structures.

    Included Features

    • Realistic airport layout based on real-world data
    • More accurate runway elevation, profile, pavement and markings
    • Accurate taxiway layout
    • Correct parking positions and gate numbering
    • Accurate ground markings
    • Correctly placed and labeled taxiway signage with custom lighting
    • Custom GSX profile
    • Custom 3D models of buildings:

      • Nuremberg Airport Tower

      • Ryanair Hangar
      • DRF Luftrettung Hangar
      • Aero-Dienst Hangar
      • FAI Aviation Group Hangar 8
      • Fire Station
      • Warehouse (Next to the Ryanair Hangar)
      • Vehicle and equipment storage (Next to the Ryanair Hangar)
      • Vehicle storage and maintenance building (Next to the Ryanair Hangar)
      • AirPart Building
      • Various smaller sheds, garages, and loading dock (Next to the Fire Staton)

    Planned Features (Future Updates)

    • Additional custom 3D models, including:

      • Terminal buildings

      • Hangars
      • Other airport buildings and nearby facilities

    Installation

    1. Unzip the downloaded file
    2. Move the folder "gate17-airport-eddn-nuremberg" into your Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Community folder
    3. If you use GSX Pro: Move the file "eddn-gate17.ini" into your GSX Pro Profiles folder (C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Virtuali\GSX\MSFS)
    4. No additional dependencies are required. Enjoy!

    Updating from a previous version

    1. Remove the existing "gate17-airport-eddn-nuremberg" from your Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Community folder2. 
    2. If you use GSX Pro: Also remove the "eddn-gate17.ini" file from your GSX Pro Profiles folder
    3. Now follow the installation instructions

    I hope that it is still in development because the last contact was 3 Months ago when Mikrerosoft wrote that they are working on the terminal

    Update i got from the dev. The project is not going to get abandoned. Life just got in the way from the devs but they plan on continuing when they have time

    Maybe some interfearing addon? Because for me it works pretty well. Which MSFS Version do you have 2020 or 2024? And do you have any other Scenery there?

    We’re currently working on the terminal, which is why this release may take a little longer than the previous ones, as the terminal is larger and more complex.

    That said, I’ve attached a small sneak peek of a WIP version here for anyone who’s curious :)

    I dont want to be ungrateful for the strobe lighting on the ATC tower,but in real life it flashes white.Please dont take this as criticism,i just wanted to give a hint

    Thanks for pointing this out. Initially I only found images of the tower in the night and thought that the red lighting is the strobe light.
    I have now found a video showing the white strobe lights and we will fix this in the next version.
    Do you by any chance know whether there are 4 or 6 of these white strobe lights on the tower?

    i reviewed footage, i saw 3 on the front presumably 3 on the back side of the ATC tower too.

    A dream come true. I waitet for something just like this for i dont know how long. I would love if you could add the two heli dollies for cold-and-dark for the Christoph 27 and Christoph Nürnberg.
