The airport has been almost completely remodeled:
- It has the new and old passenger terminals manually modeled.
- The aprons of the old and new passenger terminals, as well as the Fire Department and Air Force Base aprons, have received ground markings, night lighting, and 3D artifacts.
- The two runways and taxiways also have ground markings and are functioning with ATC.
- The package includes a folder with all the airport charts updated to today's date (October 2, 2025).

Installation is simple:
- Remove any SBFL scenery from your Community folder.
- Download and unzip the SBFL zip file.
- Place the aeromaia-airport-sbfl-florianopolis-br folder inside your Community folder.

Florianópolis/Hercílio Luz International Airport (IATA: FLN, ICAO: SBFL) is an airport in the municipality of Florianópolis, the capital of Santa Catarina. It is the state's main airport and the third-busiest airport for international passengers in Brazil.[2] The airport is named after Governor Hercílio Luz, a prominent politician from Santa Catarina.

The airport has been managed since January 3, 2018, by Floripa Airport. The concessionaire is a subsidiary of Zurich Airport, the company responsible for managing Zurich Airport, the most populous city in Switzerland. As part of the concession plan, which extends for 30 years,[3] a new passenger terminal was built, with capacity for 8 million passengers per year. The new terminal opened on September 28,[4] and began regular operations on October 1, 2019.[5]

In addition to operating domestic flights to Chapecó, the states of Rio Grande do Sul, Paraná, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais, and the Federal District, it receives regular international flights from Argentina, Chile, Panama, and Portugal. During the summer season, it receives direct flights from the Northeast region, Paraguay, and Uruguay, and, with a stopover, from Peru. [6][7]
