    MSFS2020/2024 Cache Cleaner

    A lightweight utility designed to optimize Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024 performance by safely removing accumulated shader and graphics caches. This tool clears:

    • DirectX D3DSCache
    • NVIDIA Computer Cache
    • NVIDIA DXCache
    • NVIDIA GLCache

    Warning: Only works for NVIDIA GPUs. If you have an AMD GPU, this program won't work for you.

    By removing these temporary files, users can resolve stutters, graphical glitches, and performance drops, especially after driver updates or major sim patches. Ideal for users looking to maintain peak sim performance with minimal effort.

    Instructions: Download "MSFS2020/2024 Cache Cleaner.zip" then extract the .bat file inside to a location on your computer. Then, double click the file to run. After the program completes its cleanup, click any key!

    For AMD shader cache just go into the app and performance to clear shader cache but I don't think we can clear MSFS 2024 Cache doing this.

    Not all the cache folders are detected with the tool. I suspect it has to do with the Nvidia driver version number. I prefer the manual method instead.

    Great Tool, does what it is intended to do, no hidden quirks. After not cleaning cache for 2 months, increased FPS average by roughly 5, and reduced MainThread latency a bit. Thank you, works well!

    I have run this OK, but am not clear on what, if anything, has changed. Where on my PC can I look to see exactly what has changed? Size of chaches before/after? I don't want to be running this for no reason.

    There are Youtube videos that explain how to manually find the cache folders and remove the cache. Find those folders after running my application, and they should be empty or only have a few files in the folder.

    Honestly going that deep will just drive you mad. I was looking for a tool like this where it does it and I can go about my life not digging down 4 to 5 folders looking for these locations.
