    Description

    Vliegbasis Soesterberg, is a military airport located in The Netherlands. I added this aiport to the game, since it was not here already. In real-life the airport is no longer in use. 
    This airport has two runways and a few parking spots.

    There are still some minor issues, they will be fixed in the upcoming versions :)

    Hoewel de runways nu aanwezig zijn, komt verder bijna niets overeen met het echte veld. Zelfs de verkeerstoren staat op een hele vreemde plek. Ook de infrastructuur klopt helaas niet. Hopelijk wordt hier aan gewerkt.

    Mmm, ik denk dat de reden hiervan is, ik heb destijds geen aerial map gebruikt, en de standaard map is geblurred omdat het een militair vliegveld is :/ Ik kan hier evt nog wel eens naar kijken.

    Dat zou fantastisch zijn! helaas ben ik zelf niet bekent met het maken van scenery, anders zou ik graag een handje helpen. Velden als Volkel, Eindhoven en Leeuwarden kloppen veel beter. Hopelijk komt er voor de bakermat een goede versie beschikbaar. Voor FSX waren de velden zeer gedetailleerd (NL2000).

    Hartelijk dank. Weer kunnen starten van Soesterberg in de buurt voor het verkennen van Nederland vanuit mijn eigen omgeving. Ben benieuwd naar je verder uitbouw.

    Leuk om te horen! Ik verwacht binnenkort weer wat Nederlandse vliegvelden te uploaden :) Volkel heb ik al geüpload, mocht je geïnteresseerd zijn.

    Me as a Dutchman are so proud and happy with all the Dutch Community Scenery add-ons. I am not familiar with 3D or Blender tools, even the SDK is too much for me, so Thank You Thank You..btw is this the old airbase layout? or the new one with the NMM museum?

    Hey, this is the old layout with 2 runways, if I am right, the current layout only has 1 and a little glider runway

    09-27 is still there but out of use (except as bikelane perhaps), the side runway (not sure what the numbers are) has been torn down mostly. @MrProper, will you also be adding the other (historical, or existing) Dutch Airbases?.

    Yes i was there last year, one runaway was used by the Gliderclub, and one was closed down because of some rare breeding birds (?) .. The Old USAF concrete shelters was great to visit, and of course the NMM museum ..

    Hi, pretty sure only 09-27 had working runway lights :) or..in any case it looked really weird seeing the ALS extend onto the N237. And perhaps you could also add Camp New Amsterdam?, or at least the old ZULU hangars? :) https://www.google.com/maps/@52.1261149,5.2585491,502m/data=!3m1!1e3

    Please keep it active, it is always great to fly to the old Soesterberg AB.
