    OOSA - Salalah Airport-Oman - Image 1

    Description

History:  Salalah used to be Royal Air Force base till late 60s.  It was then retuned to the host country, Oman.  It then became an International Airport.

Please, note that I have not re-designed the whole airport.  The terminal and the buildings are default.  However, I have updated the airfield to reflect correct taxiway names and signs.  I have added apron lights, gate numbers and signs, hold-short signs and Runway Ahead signs.  In addition, I have added VOR, ILS localiser and Glide slope antennas, ATC control tower and Cargo building.  It is now enjoyable to take off and land here compared to default airport.  Please enjoy it as it is free.  If you do not like it, please do not down load, Just stay with default.

In order to install, please down load the zip file vforce-airport-oosa-salalah and drag and drop the folder into your community folder.

    Please have these links installed.

Thanks for your comment. All my 2020 airports are useable in 2024. I have tried Salalah in 2024 and it works fine. There are some little issues which need sorting out. I will get to them when I have time but in the mean time , use the existing OOSA in MSFS 2024.

So glad someone has finally done something with Salalah. Thanks for the improvements. Only thing I found is there was a set of PAPI lights in the middle of the runway half way along it.

Thanks for your kind words. I will look at the PAPI lights. I appreciate your 5 stars. I have removed the PAPI lights from the middle of the runway and added to the Secondary end of the runway.
