The 131 Elementaire Militaire Vlieger Opleiding (EMVO) Squadron “MEA DOCTRINA VOLANTES” (By my lessons they learn to fly) is the current PC7 Elementary Pilot training squadron of the KLu. All Dutch pilots learn basic flying with this squadron, before being transferred to Germany or the USA for advanced aircraft/ helicopter training. The KLu has a rich past of training aircraft. Following the second world war its main basic trainer was the well-known Tiger Moth. After the Tiger Moth the trainees went on to another famous aircraft: the Harvard, for the Advanced Pilot Training. About 56 Tiger Moths and 200 Harvards served with the KLu: the Tiger Moths operating from Woensdrecht airbase and the Harvards from Gilze-Rijen airbase – located in the same region of South-West Brabant. This Livery hopes to honour this rich history by offering a chance to fly this plane in MFS2020 using the pc-21 as the model.

Het 131 Elementaire Militaire Vlieger Opleiding (EMVO) Squadron “MEA DOCTRINA VOLANTES” (Door mijn lessen leren ze vliegen) is het huidige PC7 Elementary Pilot training squadron van de KLu. Alle Nederlandse piloten leren bij dit squadron de basis van het vliegen, voordat ze worden overgeplaatst naar Duitsland of de VS voor een gevorderde vliegtuig-/helikopteropleiding. De KLu heeft een rijk verleden als het gaat om het trainen van vliegtuigen. Na de Tweede Wereldoorlog was de belangrijkste basistrainer de bekende Tiger Moth. Na de Tiger Moth gingen de trainees over op een ander beroemd vliegtuig: de Harvard, voor de gevorderde pilotenopleiding. Ongeveer 56 Tiger Moths en 200 Harvards dienden bij de KLu: de Tiger Moths die opereerden vanaf vliegbasis Woensdrecht en de Harvards vanaf vliegbasis Gilze-Rijen – gelegen in dezelfde regio van Zuidwest-Brabant. Deze Livery hoopt deze rijke geschiedenis te eren door een kans te bieden om dit vliegtuig te vliegen in MFS2020 met de pc-21 als model.
