Greetings, 

I present you the beautiful norhtern coast of the Dominican Republic. Puerto Plata's airport is the fourth busiest in the country and serves as a hub for tourism in the northern region of the island mainly for the Puerto Plata area. This is my first project in the sim and also the first time I get into airport editing so we can say that this is still WIP. 

Eventually, I intend to work on enhancing most of the default airports in the Dominican Republic and its surroundings and furthermore adding some of the missing landmarks in the island. Given this challenge I'm always open to suggestions and any help I can get to deliver some decent quality to the scenery. If anybody knows how to add 3D models to the SDK or how to update satellite imagery you're very welcome to contact me and see how we can work together. I currently work only with default assets as my skills are still limited but I enjoy giving the scenery as much detail as possible.

Some of the features over the default scenery are:
- Correct placement of the gates and jetways (the default ones are not attached to the buildings and the parking spaces are all messed up)
- Added the control tower and placed the airport beacon on top.
- Added a missing hangar and improved the military apron on the west side of the airfield.
- Updated the runway materials and textures to give it a closer look to the real one.
- Corrected tree height over the whole airport area.
- Fully working services, traffic and correct parking lines and layout.

Update 1.5 3/21/2021 The terraforming update:                                                                          

• Completely reworked the height profile for not just the runway but the whole airport area.
• Added the cliff at the end of runway 26
• Added missing trees and fixed heights and rivers around the airport
• Added extra missing details to the taxiway and apron
• Changed the skid marks textures on runway 08 to make it look more realistic

Feel free to report any bugs and comment on anything you consider that needs to be added. Some of the airports here are hard to get info on, so i'm open to every bit of info that may help improving the scenery.

In future updates I'll be working on the rest of the lines and signs of the apron as well as working on adding more dominican airports to the list.
