    Description

    I know the presense of this airport from an article of charity works by one of the organizations I'm working for. I tried to fly there in the sim with jetliner as the airport is paved with runway length of 2500m. However I failed to land there because the built-in autogen one is very outdated. The ICAO ident is still the one before independence, and the runway is still unpaved. So I decided to "update" this airport to how it looks like now.

    The airport is a very "vanilla" one and not in good condition. No terminal, no tower, no ground services, very limited and faded ground markings, no lights, no VASI/PAPI, no explicitly defined parking bays. Park your aircraft anywhere you like, although I added a single parking bay for cold and dark start if you want. There was a plan to extend the runway length to become 3300m, but it seems that the extension part has never been completed and left abandoned.

    A VOR is observed on aerial imagery, but it is undocumented. I'm not sure whether it was serviceable once or not. Arbitrary ident and frequency have been assigned (110.0/WAU) so that you can make use of it for navigation.

    Couldn't care less about the fidelity, I'm just glad there are people out there who are interested in these remote regions! Put down a pad of concrete and I'm happy :)

    It was HSWW before independence of South Sudan, provided that "HS" is the prefix for airports in Sudan, but it is HJWW now according to official aerodrome documents. It is also HJWW in SimBrief.
