    ORBX YMML Texture Update v1.0

    This update for the Orbx YMML - Melbourne Airport addon contains 4 files that improve the runway and concrete colour, and also makes the tyre marks on the runway much stronger and darker.

    The original runway and concrete colours are very brown looking and I felt it could be improved, so this update will make the runway black, and the surrounding concrete now looks less brown/oily coloured as well.

    Also included are screenshots both before and after installation of the replacement files.

    The destination folder for the files is the 'orbx-airport-ymml-melbourne/scenery/Orbx/YMML/texture' folder located within your 'Community' folder.

    Before copying and overwriting the original files, back them up so you have them somewhere safe should you want to go back to the original look of the textures.

    The 4 files included in this update are:

    amazing product, if you don't have orbx in your community folder because you bought the scenery via Microsoft download it into (C:\Users\USER\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Official\OneStore\orbx-airport-ymml-melbourne\scenery\Orbx\YMML\texture)

    Great to have this add-on! Thanks for doing it. I logged a ticket with ORBX re the brown colouring of YMML and they replied after a few days saying "acknowledged and resolved". But couldn't get any more information than that. Quite disappointing in terms of support.

    I've had a look at their Discord and they describe the change as "Changelog:
    • Fixed asphalt sections of the runway to be less beige"
    I installed it and the asphalt is no longer the beige colour, but they haven't modified the concrete or the skids. I think it looks better than the original but I've re-installed my update.

    Thanks Incubus. I purchased through the MSFS Marketplace and my installed version shows as 1.0.0, with no update available to install :-( . The ORBX site doesn't seem to specify what the latest version is.... but on the Aerosoft site it says 1.0.4 is available (and includes the correction for beige).

    Better than originals for sure. But the black is now too dark.

    Sad that a once power-player in Flight Sim scenery design has to have their products fixed by others and uploaded to a free site. Fantastic job though, thank you for doing this. YMML is my home airport and this is a definite "upgrade"

    The fact that Orbx YMML needed improvement from an independent creator speaks volumes about Orbx. Well done @Incubus. Appreciate your efforts. If you ever get the inkling -please take a look at Orbx YBBN - that definitely requires your attention also.

    Wow, I am actually shocked at how good this ground texture upgrade is and how terrible the default textures were. This has made the airport look 10X better, especially on the concrete. Thank you so much!

    great to finally have this fixed. Only issue is that is seems to remove the Binge ads on the jetways any chance u could fix this?

    Doesn’t remove them on mine, they appear as I get closer to them. The point they appear at depends on one of the detail setting sliders - object detail I think.
