EGNV Teesside International Airport - Image 1

    Description

    V1.9

This is another update to the default Teesside Airport with a couple more custom buildings and default objects. I know it's a bit rough! (I'm just a beginner at modelling and stuff) and has no flashy PBR textures but gives a feeling of EGNV.

As usual take off and fly the zipped folder into your MSFS 'Community

I would highly reccomened the payware ground textures add-on for MSFS which improves ALL stock MSFS ground textures. Plus it saves me doing ground textures lol!

All donations by 'Buy me a coffee' will go to veterans and their families. Thank you.

Also reccommend Pylons and Solar Farms

Cheers to Paul Walker for his very valuble help.

You've done some great work with this and your other files - great to see some North East representation! It's inspired me to get back into 3D modelling myself and try to make some sceneries for MSFS too, so thanks for that as well as enhancing the game too.

Edit: I could have sworn I heard a rumour of Bob Mortimer hanging about in the ATC tower.

A great addon, thank you for all your hard work with this. And don't apologise about parking spots, you've brought this artwork to the community and for anyone to complain would surely make them a complete toot!

Great Work ! This Airport brought back some almost forgotten memories which inspired me to post this on the MSFS 2020 Forum.
Memory of a 6 year old lad.
When i was about 6 years old i remember standing in a field in summer.
The grass was almost up to my chin and i had this feeling of absolute contentment.
I felt happy, loved and safe. i wouldn’t have been able to describe these feelings to anybody but they were my experience and remember wondering if this would be my life forever.
This was my first expedition into the wild by myself and it had taken courage to venture out past the Great Oak tree on the edge of RAF Middleton St George Married Quarters where we lived in 1961.
My Dad was working at the RAF Camp and my Mum was Manager at the Astra Cinema.
I remember the RAF Open day’s when we would watch incredible Displays by the ‘Black Arrows’ in their Hunters. Also the introduction of the first Lightnings. What an Aircraft ! Flew Higher than the U2 and left Concorde Trailing.
At this time i had not as yet met the Swann Family who used Robinsons Field as their Summer Camp.
The Swann’s were Gypsies. Their children would later come to school with us and would educate my brother my sister and me in a manner which my Mum didn’t appreciate.
One time we came home from playing with the Swanns and i went upstairs to use the Loo.
My Mum asked me where i was off to and i replied,
    "I’m going for a S**T where do’you think i’m going?"
When i got downstairs Mum was waiting for me and she had the John Bull Dictionary.
Let’s see if we can find that word in the Dictionary shall we.
We Children understood that if we couldn’t find a particular word in the JBD it mustn’t be used.
Well,… we didn’t find ST but we did find Fart ( Definition. ‘An Explosion Between the Legs’ !!!) and this word was employed as frequently as possible much to my Dad’s amusement and my Mother’s consternation.

What’s the Point of all this,…
I’ve been following the Progress of a very talented 3 rd Party Dev who’s been working on Scenery for the Durham UK area and noticed that he was producing some great stuff.
This inspired me to make Flight from Teesside Airport and after the Take Off flew over the old RAF Married Quarters. Looking Down i saw the place where we would get on the Bus for school and also what was and probably still is Robinson’s Field. There are some additional Houses there now but the place is still pretty much unchanged.
So there it was,… Robinson’s Field ! The memory of a happy 6 year old boy came flooding back and thanks to MFS 2020 those “Moments” were not “Lost in Time Like Tears in Rain”.
(Thanks RH) and also Thank you ASOBO.
Kind Regards from Thom in the Sad Old Dis United Kingdom.

Thanks for the updated scenery, I still had the first released one installed from many moons ago :) This is my home airport in RL so I use this quite frequent to fly to and from. Cheers.

Hi Dave, found this by chance and what a gem it is too ! Hardly a rough effort ! Found it necessasy to do a ground tour in the Spitfire 9 before taking to the skies on what was once my regional airport. Even the detail in the Fire training centre quite magificent. Must do a bit of research though on the B727 with the JT9-200 engines though, wink wink ! first class effort Dave and thanks for sharing, I'll not be a stranger here any more now, best dash off home and get the A32NX fired up !
