    Nextgen EMB P-110 version 1.6.0 - Performance Mod - Image 1

    Description

This is a modified version of a performance mod done long ago by JayDee. The mod only uses the engine.cfg files. It is not a scientific or engineered change. The 1.6.0 version EMB P-110 includes the old JayDee performance mod but has lower performance numbers then published specs for the EMB P-110.. This mod will give back most of the power allowing cruise around 210 kts TAS. Try it, if you like it,  well keep using it, if not just delete.

    Take off criteria:

Inertial seperators ON. Propeller RPM 100% Turbine RPM 90%

Do not take off with 100% Throttles, =<90 % or you will overheat the engines and over torque the propeller shafts.

Torque limits on plaque  posted on  aircrafts dash behind throttles states max torque 100% prop rpm 1795 and at 91% 1970 prop rpm.

You should be able to climb at 1600 feet per minute @ 150-160 kts with the inertial seperators engaged, higher once they have been turned off.

Take offs will be limited by turbine temperature and prop torque during climb. Max torque at 100% propellar rpm is 1795 ft lbs.

85-90% engine rpm is a good cruise. Lower prop rpm to 91% and adjust throttle for maximum torque at 1970 ft lbs once cruis altitude is attained.

    Published Specs:

    Performance

    - Cruise speed: 411 km/h (255 mph, 222 kn) maximum at 2,440 m (8,005 ft)
    -Economical cruise speed: 341 km/h (212 mph; 184 kn) at 3,050 m (10,007 ft)
    - Range: 1,964 km (1,220 mi, 1,060 nmi) econ. cruise + 45 min reserve
    - Service ceiling: 6,550 m (21,490 ft)
    - Rate of climb: 8.333 m/s (1,640.4 ft/min) and 1.8833 m/s (6 ft/s) on single engine

Please do not ask for changes  as this was done only to suit my needs. Feel free to modify as you wish.

The elevator trim seems to be inverted for the plane, not just in this mod. Is it possible to reverse it to the normal direction in an update to this mod?

Agree with that issue, I have a few other planes like that as well. I'm sorry but I own the Market Place version of the plane and the only file I have I can edit or change is the engines file. The developer has a Discord channel, you could ask there.

Darn, this last update I had a syntax error preventing low prop rpm for economy cruise. Corrected and testing. Will update AGAIN soon, hopefully.

I know I've made a few updates but I'm learning more as I go. I am in the process of testing a version that gets ITT temps closer to Turbine rpm and fuel input. Also a few tweaks to the torque / engine rpm table.
Hopefully it works out in a week or so. Modifying config files without the ability to use the SDK is very time consuming.

I was just searching for JayDee's mod, wondering if it was still necessary at all, then I found your mod. I wondered wow old/ maintained it was and then I saw the sign "updated 2 days ago", good to know.
    Thanks for the work 😁👍🏼

Just read in the changelog for v1.6.0:
"Updated flight dynamics, ignition/starter switches logic, inertial separators logic and fuel pumps and crossfeed switches logic. Credits to JayDee."
Does this mean mods aren't needed anymore? 🤔

    Thanks...
JayDee's mod is actually incorporated in the last update of the plane by Nextgen. It added some nice functionality but cut the advertised performance of the plane too much in my opinion. This is just the engines.cfg file I had done long ago just for that reason. Saw quite a few complaints about he new performance with the last update so I thought I would put it out there for others to try.

    Version History

This version lowers the prop torque curve and provides a more linear power profile. I included a comparison chart to compare this version versus the non mod plane. *** As always save a copy of the previous update just in case *** - Max idle speed down rwy 2 at KMSY peaked at 29kts - Take off 97-99 % throttle, watch turbine temp during climb out as it will exceed limit shortly after flaps up so trim back to about 95% throttle. - Reduce prop rpm as prop efficiency drops with altitude increase - Best prop position for cruise is 81% - Prop rpm must be greater than 85 % to achieve 100% engine rpm
