My first project for MSFS, made with mostly stock objects. Thus it does not look truly as the real counterpart, but I think it resembles the general layout and atmosphere quite well.

Arnsberg-Menden (EDLA) is a GA airport close to EDLW. It features a flying club, flightschool, workshop and also is the homebase of the business fleet of the fastening manufacturer OBO, who also operate this airport. There are no instrument approaches, but the airport is equipped with PAPIs for both landing directions as well as runway and taxiway lighting for night operations. In case of bad weather, the Dortmund airport (EDLW) is nearby as an instrument alternate.

Scenery features:
-Correctly sloped runway according to official charts
-Correct runway length according to the latest construction stage, correct taxiway layout
-Night lighting for runway, taxiways, apron area and windsock
-Windsock showing the correct direction
-Many little details, like the yellow warning plates on each approach end- on both ends there is a downslope of the terrain which may lead to misjugdement of the approach path.

Limitations:
-I could not get the tower beacon to show properly on top of the building. I therefore did not include it, because it look rediculous in daylight with the light floating some 50m in the air.
-not tested with AI traffic or ATC (I don't use this)
-the PAPI lights should be closer together, but it currectly seems impossible to do this

Mein erstes Projekt für den MSFS. Es wurden keine speziellen Objekte verwendet, daher ist der Flugplatz nicht 100% originalgetreu- allerdings denke ich, dass die generelle Atmosphäre recht gut rüberkommt.

Der Verkehrslandeplatz Arnsberg-Menden bietet Vereinsleben, Flugschule, LTB und ist homebase der Citation-Flotte der Firma OBO-Bettermann, welche auch den Flugplatz betreibt. Es gibt keine Instrumentenanflüge, allerdings ist der Flugplatz mit Beleuchtung der Piste, der Rollwege und des Aprons sowie zwei PAPIs gut für den Nachtbetrieb gerüstet. Bei zu schlechtem Wetter steht der nahgelegene Flughafen Dortmund als Ausweichlandeplatz bereit.

Szeneriefeatures:
-Korrekte Pistenneigung nach offiziellen Karten
-Korrekte Pistenlänge und -breite nach letzter Verlängerung/ Verbreiterung, korrektes Rollweglayout
-Nachtbeleuchtung für Piste, Rollwege, Vorfeld und Windsack
-Windsack zeigt die korrekte WIndrichtung an
-einige kleine Details, wie etwa die gelben Warntafeln an den Geländeansteigen der Schwellen wurden eingearbeitet

Einschränkungen:
-Das Beacon auf dem Turm konnte ich nicht richtig hinbekommen, daher musste ich es weglassen. Es stand immer in 50m über dem Turm, was ziemlich dämlich aussah.
-nicht mit AI Traffic und ATC getestet (nutze ich nicht)
-die PAPI-Lichter müssten enger zusammenstehen, leider ist das scheinbar mit dem aktuellen SDK nicht machbar.
