    Description

    This is a repaint for the PMDG 737-800 in colors of Kenya Airways (5Y-CYB).

    This livery comes with a custom tablet background (installation instructions included)

    Pictures were made with the MSFS 2024 version.

    Installation via PMDG Operations Center 3: 

    1: Extract the *.zip file to a temporary location, ie desktop
    2: Run PMDG Operations Center 3. 
    3: Choose the 737-800, then Import.
    4: Choose the 'kqa_5ycyb.zip' folders and hit open.
    5. After installation was successful, start MSFS, choose the installed livery and enjoy!

    You can use it with the updated model just fine. I am going to update it at some point. My update list is just quite long and there are still liveries only working in 2020.

    Why would I do that? The 'simplaza 737' is a illegal copy of the PMDG 737. I don't support that.

    Hi, thanks for that beautiful livery!
    Once extracted it is registered as PMDG 737-800 Kenya Airways (5Y-CYB - 2023) in the OPS livery utility, but the real one is 2014 built, from all Kenya Airways eight 737s the youngest is 2015 built with the oldest 2008 built. Now I understand you named it after your release in 2023 but that would differ from the installed fleet as PMDG named the liveries with their real built date.

    The year has nothing to do with the year the aircraft is built. It's the year the photo was taken which the livery is based on. I don't know how PMDG does this, but I guess it's a similar way. Year of build doesn't make sense as some aircrafts are handed over to multiple airlines while in service.

    I think there's a misunderstanding here..that 5Y-CYB you uploaded is 2014 built not 2023, lease from ACG, so ACG operated that aircraft before KQ, it's still same 2014 built, doesn't matter how many airlines flown this aircraft before KQ, it's still 2014 built, so that's why PMDG name correctly his fleet with built year not picture taken year or airline acquire year. Now there's an understanding?

    How do you think Airlines know the age of their aircrafts..by picture taken year??
