Description
I did lose most of my source files in a hardware crash last summer, so I can't say when or if I wil be updating this at some point. If anyone knows a working way to unpack my own released BGLs to make these changes, please contact me via PM. Airport2Project can't unpack it because there's CGL data in the package which makes the tool crash. And the programmer of the tool seems no longer active on the forums.
English:
This is my recreation of the Wunstorf Air Force Base ETNW, home of the Air Transport Wing 62 of the German Air Force and its fleet of Airbus A-400Ms. The version of this air base that is present in the unmodified MSFS is helplessly obsolete, as the underlying Bing satellite pictures it was generated on are from 2010, showing the base during its rebuild towards the A-400M era. As you can see in the screenshots its looking very different today.
The new aerial texture covering the air base and its immediate surroundings were created following Flying Thestons CGL method, and every new hangar, building, radar dish ligth mast and taxiway light were handcrafted by me in Blender and Gimp. The static Airbus A400-M is by ask13freak @ blendswap, and the static C-160 Transall by Helijah @ blendswap, both modifed and used accoring to CC-BY-SA licensing.
Many thanks to @mamu82 and the members of his community, without whom this mod would not have been possible. Special thanks to Manfred Tegge for access to photos of places civilian can only reach on selected days.
This is a release as version 0.8!
I wanted to release in time for the Air Defender NATO exercise in the following weeks, since this air base is a major hub in it, so that you can recreate flights without accidently landing in the past ;) There's many obvious corners on which I'm not finished yet with this mod, some buildings I got no information and photos on, others I ran out of skill and time. It is for example planned to have the main maintenance hangar door open on a proximity trigger. So check back on this mod in the future.
No dependencies except World Update 6 (Germany, Austria, Switzerland)
The big filesize is due to the new ground aerial. There's no Google Maps/Earth 3D photogrammetry in this mod!
Installation as usual, copy accu-airport-etnw-wunstorf into your Community folder, done.
1.6 Update:
- small fix for use in MSFS 2024
1.5 Update:
- Total rework of taxiway signs (integration of the works of atcstefan)
Rework of taxiway naming scheme (like deactivation of closed "W" taxiway)
Rework of green centre line lighting of the apron taxisways (way less than I initially thought)
Changed edge lights on runway 20-02. Deleted PAPIs (has none IRL, is not being used for normal start/landing operations anymore)
Changed edge lights on runway 26-08
Added IFR lighting (touchdown zone etc) to 26-08
New custom illuminated distance marker boards per runway
New custom train tracks on the base (not the Metronom)
New custom marker boards for the arrestor cable systems
New custom "taxiway closed" boards for old "W" taxiway
Revision of all parking spots. Some renamed, some deleted (those old ones east of the 20-02 runway)
Changes to ASRS Radar (turn direction, slower, added guy wires, no more blinking)
Added custom scenery to the Wilhelmstein Island in the "Steinhuder Meer" lake
Added red illuminated "Hold" lines on main taxiway
Modelled buildings on the eastern part of the base (A400M training centre)
Some more fences
Added rotating beacon to tower (custom asset)
Added custom windows to basically all the smaller buildings across the base (everything around the apron is basically one big model in Blender, keeps drawcalls down)
Modelled buildings between tower and eastern part of base (fire department etc)
Recoloured Transall asset on apron
Applied "Flattening" (Terraform) to main Apron
Fixed everything that above Flattening broke lol
Finished A400 training centre buildings on the east side of the base
Added small placeholder light masts to eastern anti-icing pad
Deutsch:
Also abwarten wann mein Update kommt.
Einzige Abhängigkeit ist World Update 6 (Deutschland, Österreich, Schweiz)

Just a small fix to get rid of the superficial intersecting OSM buildings in the MSFS 2024. Copy both folders to your community folder. If you are using the MSFS 2020, ignore this update, there's no change to the scenery. If you install it new, just don't copy the "fix" folder

Handcraft scenery of the Ems flood barrier landmark near Emden & Leer, Germany. Good addition for VFR flying. Build between 1998 and 2002, it is used to protect from storm surges, and to dam up the Ems and raise its water if a cruise ship from Meyer Werft shipyards in Papenburg needs to be transitioned to the North Sea.

Maritime structures of the Azores Islands (handcrafted, WIP)
This add-on enhances the maritime landscape of the Azores Islands by introducing handcrafted structures, including various harbors, signal systems, custom harbor walls, and port facilities. It features a work-in-progress collection of lighthouses and points of interest, with ongoing updates planned as more structures are developed. All assets are created from scratch, ensuring independence from other add-ons while adhering to LOD guidelines, though users are advised against combining it with specific existing mods due to potential conflicts.

Schenkeveld Schiphol greenhouses (custom models)
The Schenkeveld Schiphol greenhouses add-on replaces the default "glass pyramid" located in the approach path of EHAMs runway 06 with a detailed recreation of the Schenkeveld greenhouse complex. Custom assets have been created for the greenhouses and a central building, ensuring good performance without pop-in issues. The scenery incorporates realistic pink growth lights, enhancing the overall visual experience for those flying into Schiphol.

Is there a way though to remove the static aircraft to make room for AI A400's etc?

But I'll not change it the main release, loading a full base full of Inibuilds A400Ms would probably grind performance down. This model I used is really light weight.
