EGAD Newtownards Airport
EGAD is situated at the top of Strangford Lough in Northern Ireland – which makes it pretty easy to find for visiting pilots!. It is approximately 7 miles southeast of Belfast City airport (EGAC).
EGAD is the home of the Ulster Flying Club (of which I’m a member) and is the main hub for GA flying in Northern Ireland. I, and a few colleagues, own a Piper Warrior (G-BNXU) which is based at EGAD – so I know the airport well.
The airfield was originally built in the early 1930’s and was enhanced for use during World War II.
Today it is owned and operated by the Ulster Flying Club and is a very active flying centre.

Copy to your community folder

Thanks for an update to this airfield, some weird texture issue on the hangers though, flickering etc. Good effort all the same, Thanks

EIDL (Donegal) fix - The Asobo Handcrafted version of EIDL omitted the PAPI approach lights on Runway 21 which makes shooting the LOC DME approach a bit more challenging. They also omitted the apron extension. This mod adds PAPI's and the new Apron extension.

EGAB Enniskillen (St Angelo) Airport
EGAB Enniskillen (St Angelo) Airport EGAB is situated on the shores of the beautiful Lough Erne near Enniskillen, Northern Ireland. The airfield was originally established in April 1941 as a relief landing ground (RLG) for RAF Aldergrove. Later that year on 15 September RAF St Angelo opened as a fighter sector station in its own right, operating Spitfires and Hurricanes to intercept enemy reconnaissance aircraft off the west coast of Ireland and in the air defence role over Belfast. In 1943 the station also became home to several squadrons of Catalina and Sunderland flying boats operating from Lough Erne. Later that year, Bistrol Beaufighters were based at St Angelo during anti-submarine patrols in the Irish Sea and over the Atlantic Ocean. The airfield is now the centre for GA in the west of Northern and Southern Ireland. It is worth a visit. Installation UnZip and copy to your Community folder.
