A quick and dirty upscale of the default base textures in 4K
It does not include the seperate aircraft liveries. These can be downloaded from my other package

It may come with a performance cost due to the 4x larger textures
You will require the excellent freeware F/A-18C Legacy Hornet by DC Designs & CJ Simulations package in order to use this livery. Get it here:

~ Installation ~
Copy and paste the unzipped folder(s) into your MSFS Community folder.

Tried this, and no fun. Upscaling just because you can, doesnt work. Next time clean up the fuzzy texture details. Better yet, start from scratch.

You're welcome to give it a go yourself. If you have a look at the original files and the upscaled ones you will see a significant difference in quality. Also, I redid some of the lettering, from scratch.

Hey! This is incredible work and I've been using this since you released it but the current update killed the formation lights or is it just me? Not gonna lie, I prefer the slime lights bright because that's how they are :( They are now gone or just really dim.

The slime lights should appear like in the included pictures? Anyone else having the same problem?

I'll check more later today when I'm home. Previously during daytime and evening you could see the formation lights without issue and put them as bright how you wanted, now they seem like totally dim or atleast like they would be only 30% active even when I set it 100%. I'll post some screens later for you. This is ofc your decision since it's your mod if you want to make dimmer slime lights at 100% :) Otherwise, I still love the textures but would have hoped the slime light changes to the external texture pack and not the cockpit one. It was much easier to form up with friends even in day with the previous slimes since they were visible.

The formation lights are almost invisible on the aircraft during daytime in real life, which is what prompted me to make the change to a more subtle slime light. If you still have the original Legacy Hornet download you can swap out the "F-18_MAIN01_LM_T.PNG.DDS" file to get the brighter slime lights back in the meantime. Or you can send me a PM and I'll forward the original file to you.

That's so much better already, thank you!
One thing I notice is that reflections of light and on some portions in general look somehow strange in low light conditions now as well as reflections from the nose wheel landing light - maybe you can look into this? It might be something related to the PBR/normal map textures.
Looking forward to see more of this :)
