KCGX - Meigs Field
This version superceeds the original KCGX version 1 by ichankal (with water on the runway).
Features:
- Tower frequency: 121.3 Mhz.
- Ground Frequency: 121.8 Mhz.
- 37 Custom objects made in Blender, including several boats, historically correct buildings, and a balloon over Soldier Field that was in several version of Microsoft Flight Sim during the 1990's.
- Parking and refuelling facilities.
- BBQ facilities.
- Protesters stopping earthmoving machinery coming in to rip up the runway.
- Relationship breakup drama behind the control tower.
- All pickup trucks are badly parked.
- Worker needs to go badly but porta potty is occupied.
- Anger brewing over crash in the car park.

Hi, absolutly excelent work. Unfortunatly after the last hot-fix from Asobo, which was urgent neccessary due to the extrem performance problems all over the map, KCGX disapeared. Some other airports are also gone - my only explanaition for this is, they have all in common, that they are closed fields. That`s too bad, it was so a nice place.

Hello, I have lost Meigs Field. I have seen it today, so I suppose it will be due to sim update 3.
I have also tried the free version of the GuillermoZS mod. With none it appears, neither runaway, but neither as a scenery (buildings, planes, etc), there is the default setting of the fs with the actual park
I have several airports installed (especially of Spain) and they work ok.

Strange problem -- I cannot get the runway to show up. Everything else is there (buildings, planes) but no runway. I have tried everything, including running MSFS with no other add-ons. Also made certain that "draw on terrain" is turned on in dev mode. Any ideas? This is not a problem in any other location except St. Helena.

"Save our Meigs" is what got me to download this. Chicago is so messed up in the sim with the green ground scenery around the main area of the city that I was taking a pass on the whole area until that issue is addressed by Asobo. That being said crime politics destroyed the real airport so putting the airport back is not realistic. Seeing the scenery come up in my feed again and like others have said this and Urbana is historic in the world of Flight Simulator. The tipping point was the save the airport sign. Great work.

Thank you for this historic scenery. It was the first airport I took off from when I discovered Flight Simulator... a long long time ago !
