    Description

    Cherbourg Maupertus (renamed Cherbourg Manche), LFRC is a civil / military airport located in Normandy.

               Paved runway, 2440x45m, QFU 10 / 28

               Lighted approach lights are available for runway 28 and Papi for runway 10

               AFIS and A/A frequency is 119.625

    Cherbourg Maupertus V3

    _ Reworked completly the terminal

    _ Reworked the fuel area with new 3d models

    _ Replace generic cars

    _ Replace NH90

    _Added few painted and ground marking

    _ Removed military radar (real life: replaced by a GM403 in another area)

    _ Suppress the ILS (as defined on the SIA chart)

    _ Improved runway slope

    _ Added flashing lights for the wigwag

    _ Added few animated humans

    _ ... and some more

    History :

    Cherbourg - Maupertus airport build began in 1937, and first aircraft land in may 1939.

    During WWII, the airport will be used by Luftwaffe, some parts are always visible on north-east of the runway.

    Terminal building was inaugurated in 1967.

    In the 70's, Aurigny air service had scheduled service flights between Cherbourg airport  and Channel Islands.

    In the 80's and 90's few flights was operated by Air Altlantique, Chalair Aviation, Air normandie, between Orly LFPO and Toussus-le-Noble to Cherbourg LFRC

    In septembre 2019, department of Manche décided to give the name of "Aéroport de Cherbourg-Manche".

    Just to tell you that the scenery LFRC Cherbourg for FS2024 is still in progress.
    _ Air club J.Piquenot is complete with transparent windows and some furniture inside.
    _ Tower Ctrl have now full transparent windows and more 3d details

    It's still in progress !, currently I am working on a new scenery, LFEH Aubigny sur Nere, a small airfield in France, with 90% of hand made objects, then I will continue LFRC Cherbourg for 2024

    I am currently working on a MSFS2024 version with more accurate 3D models, with transparent windows and interior design for some buildings, and add LODs for the 3D models

    J'y suis passé en réel, c'est exactement pareil !
    Serait-il possible de supprimer les 3 trafics sur le parking de l'aviation générale et de rendre disponible les 7 emplacements svp ?
    Cela faliciterait l'accès quand nous volons en groupe.

    Merci JP, actuellement je suis entrain de créer l'aéroport de Martinique TFFF Aimé Césaire, ce qui me prend tout mon temps libre.
    Je verrai pour les avions du parking GA
