Amazing work as always! Can you give us a bit more history on this plane/livery? Was it originally delivered to Mohican and sold or was it a wet lease situation? When was it used? I'm assuming this livery must come from the very early days of the 747... like somewhere between launch and the mid 1970s?

In June 1969, ANA started to introduce the 737-200, which had a light blue paint scheme known as "Mohican Paint".
In June 1983, with the introduction of the 767-200, the paint scheme changed to the current "Triton Paint/Triton Blue".
727-100/200, 732, YS-11, L-1011, and 747SR-100 had the Mohican paint. (I think so)
All Mohican planes were replaced before March 1989.
Incidentally, JA602A (767-300) flew with Mohican paint (reprint) from Dec 1, 2009 to Aug 12, 2014.

Wow, thank you for taking the time to share. I had no idea Mohican referred to a color. There was a defunct American airline known as Mohawk that went out of business in the early 1970s. I think I had Mohican and Mohawk confused and I assumed ANA may have gotten the plane during Mohawk's liquidation. Shows my guess was close, but no cigar. I appreciate the trivia and the awesome livery!
