    Description

    G-CIVO was the last retired British Airways 747-400 with this livery in June 2020. Unfortunately due to the pandemic it forced a lot of airlines to move up the retirement of their Queens and this Speedbird headed to the graveyard with the rest.

    This livery is a full vectored decal with no pixelation which reduces the file size by over 50% than the traditional albedo texturing.

    Please leave feedback, review and/or consider donating and am up for requests for non-mirrored 747-8 popular liveries.

    It's for the default Asobo WT 747, not the Salty which is discontinued.

    1. the folder is literally named salty747 and I used to use it on the salty747
    2. i have deleted the salty747 recently and theres no g-civo livery in the default 747???

    Get an error when moving to the Community Folder. It says "Path too long".

    As said, need to extract the folder first to a location like download folder or desktop and then move it. Moving directly from the ZIP file or extracting directly to the community folder may cause this error.

    All of your Asobo 748 liveries are very beautiful. No contrails though. At least for me.Thank you.

    Thanks! Contrails don't happen all the time, they only will happen dependent on specific weather conditions. I've flown this very livery recently and had the contrails working.

    Thank you for your promt answer.

    I just now tested again this very livery at 42000 feet, northeast UK, live weather and no contrails.

    I then tested the Boeing and other liveries reaching same height, at the same place, with live weather and there were contrails just after passing 28000-29000 feet.

    You said you tested it and it works so it must be something on my end.

    Although it's a bit confusing that other liveries work.

    Anyway, i don't mean to be a pain, it's just a pity i can't really use such beautiful liveries because of that.

    I think I found the issue. When the original update happened all of the FX elements were working, but I think I've made a mistake in a reference of the XML which broke it when I fixed the spoilers. I'm about to update this livery, can you test it is all ok? I won't be able to test for another 14 hours but I think it should be fixed.

    I'll gladly test it when it gets updated and report back. I wont be able for the next 9-10 hours though.

    No problem. Glad to help.
    I just downloaded a few of your updated liveries including this one but still no contrails.
    Checked the dates in the files and the most resent one was the 24th of June.
    Maybe you accidently uploaded the old files instead of the new corrected ones. I don't now.

    It's not an issue on my end, its flightsim.to. Looks like with their new website, any files that are uploaded for an update aren't being made available on the frontend. Here is a dropbox link with all my 747-8 liveries.

    No problem, thanks for spotting the issue and for discovering a flightsim.to issue which they have now fixed.
