Presenting my first ever creation for any Flight Simulator: Worms Airfield.

The airfield is a small General Aviation and training site located 50km south of Frankfurt that serves multiple aero-clubs and flight schools. Since the default version feels lifeless and empty I have attempted to create a first version that better resembles the real airfield using stock and custom objects.

Adjusted Aprons to match real-world patterns
Added objects around the airport
adjusted taxiway lights (besides the runway and parts of the taxiways, the airport is pitch black at night)
adjusted vegetation size, as there are no tall trees on approach to RWY 06
replaced default buildings with better looking ones, though they are still not perfect
added abbreviated PAPI lights (note that they are inactive in real-life)

Still a lot of improvements can be integrated, such as creating custom buildings, models, textures etc. If and when this can be done depends on me finding the time to learn the skills required to do just that.

I have now integrated my first custom building. I most likely made a lot of mistakes and the model will be refined in future releases.

Suffers from some double buildings in MSFS2024 but still usable and recognizable as the real Worms. Thank you!

Toll!!! Meine alte Heimat! Habe in Worms 1975 fliegen gelernt. Solo mit Jodel CE-30 D-EFLY des Wormser Fliegerclubs.

Gleich mal eine Platzrunde gedreht :-) Auf den ersten Blick auf jeden Fall eine super Szenerie! Aber kann es sein, dass der Windsack in die entgegengesetzt Richtung zeigt?

Vielen Dank für das Lob und auch den Hinweis mit dem Windsack. Tatsächlich ist das ein Bug des MSFS, sodass beim Platzieren des Windsacks ein falsches Standard-Heading eingetragen wurde (in dem Fall 154°), sodass das immer auf die Windrichtung draufgerechnet wurde. Jetzt sollte es aber stimmen

Explore an enhanced version of Worms Airfield (EDFV), a small GA and training site located 50km south of Frankfurt. This add-on features adjusted aprons, added airport objects, and improved taxiway lights to bring the airfield to life. While there is room for further enhancements, including custom buildings and textures, enjoy the realism and detail added to this first version of the scenery.
