EGNE - Gamston Airport:
Gamston is a small airport in Bassetlaw, Nottinghamshire. A great place to fly, the airfield is surrounded by the busy airspaces of Doncaster Airport to the North, East Midlands Airport to the South West and RAF bases such as Waddington and Scampton to the East. The airport gives a great gateway for flights to the East coast, as well as offering scenic flights over the Pennines to the West.
Originally built as an RAF base and used by Bomber Command during the Second World War, the airport is now private and the home of several flying schools and two AOC certified companies, one of which specialises in flight calibration.
The model has been created using only MSFS standard SDK objects and so should work for all users. The airfield is a work in progress and I am open to advice about how to make the airfield as close to life as possible. I hope you enjoy! Any reviews or donations for the airfield are greatly appreciated.

Take off on rwy 21 and fly 8.1 clicks from the tower with a light sidewind from stbd and I fly directly over my house - if only Ollerton looked as real as Gamston...

Thanks very much for producing this airfield.
I first visited this airfild in the early 80's when we constructed and test flew our homebuilt Pazmany PL2 aircraft after 6 years of building all of the components.
I called in a couple of days ago driving back home to the South from York and had a nice relaxing coffee at the exellent new restaurant which is there now.
It was so good to see it again and it is good to have more details on flight sim.
I saw a lovely Cessna Citation 510 parked there which incited me to do an exective jet flight to Gamston this morning on flight sim of course.

So glad you're enjoying the airfield! Great to hear your memories of Gamston too. The Apron cafe is great and they do have a couple of very nice private jets in the hangers.

I am hoping to do a new version of this airfield soon with some more realistic aircraft and to include the parking numbers on the main apron.
