    Description

    Luxembourg International Airport, usually called Findel after a neighboring village, is the only international airport in Luxembourg. Its beginnings date back to the 1930s.

    This Airport is currently not supported for MSFS 2024

    This is my first scenery creation for MSFS 2020. I hope you like it.

    Installation

    (Delete all old "luxemburg-ellx" folders). Unzip the zip file and just drag and drop the folder "theredfox-ellx-luxemburg" into your community folder!

     

    Troubleshooting

    If Airport Lines are missing or it looks like there is a ground texture problem, try the following steps:
    1. activate the developer mode in the settings
    2. under Tools>Scenery package order (WIP)search for theredfox in the search bar
    3. press the down arrow next to "theredfox-ellx-luxembourg" so that there is a 1 next to the name
    4. restart the simulator

    I guess there is something strange with taxi: I see in the FSLTL Injector that a plane is going to taxi towards RWY 24, but instead it goes to the 6. Then it enters it and proceed towards the 24... really strange I guess. Let me know which could be the problem to fix

    Does it work in 2024?

    Partially. It looks amazing as expected since it's made by @TheRedFox but there are some terrain issues when using the scenery in 2024. There are some plateaus that still leaves the scenery somewhat usable but the dealbreaker is the plateau cutting into taxiway B. You'll need to taxi on the grass around the hump. I think it's caused by some incompatibility in the flattens.

    I really hope it would be possible to fix the scenery for 2024 so the scenery can live on in 2024 as well. I appreciate all the work regardless @TheRedFox

    I will try to fix the issue before the year ends. Please note that I do not have the option to work on this Airport for MSFS2024.

    Wonderful airport. I like your scenery very much.

    Now unfortunately the soil texture is broken. Maybe caused by the last Asobo update?

    Just used it for a realistic Luxair rotation in FS24. Looks absolute amazing. The ground textures are looking very nice. I arrived in the night and the lighting on the RWY and the apron is spot on. in MSFS I used the payware scenery. I must say that this freeware is deffinetly better than the payware.

    Looks great in MSFS 2024 SU2. As the satellite imagery has been updated, some buildings are out of place and the satellite imagery used in the addon does not match the colours of the Asobo ground textures but I am nitpicking. The airport displays and runs just fine. Could do with a Photogrammetry exclusion area to remove the PG lumps around the airport and would love it if you could fix the flickering glass on the main terminal (with the name on). Thank you TheRedFox, great work.

    Thank you for this great scenery. I have one request though: There are hold short nodes missing at D1, F, G and B4. Could you please add them? I use Beyond ATC and this app needs to have hold short nodes at every runway exit/entry so that AI traffic works properly.
