Description
Sometimes we simply need to know where we are, right?
This addon adds an extremely simple moving map to your EFB in MSFS 2024, displaying the precise position of your aircraft. You can also display your flight plan in glamorous MAGENTA LINE. The flight plan itself is synced automatically with the default FS flight planner thanks to the legendary contribution by lstealth. The addon is really simple, theres no additional software you need to run on the background. Just a simple map with a simple zoom in/out option and, optionally, your flight plan.
Introduced in the latest update is your aircraft's basic information (altitude AGL, speed, and heading) as well as an interactive marker. You can click any spot on the map to place the marker and read its distance and relative magnetic bearing. You may find this feature really handy while exploring the area as the map gives you the instant distance/bearing solution of any point of your choice. Also handy to know your precise distance to an airport or a local waypoint during the commuication with ATC.
You can zoom in/out using your mouse wheel. If the aircraft is centered (the "Center" button is active), the map will zoom to or from your aircraft, otherwise it will zoom in/out at your cursor.
Map imagery is loaded from OpenTopoMap/OpenStreetMap during use. Good for VFR, touring, and basic navigation around the world.
Don't forget to read the README file you can find inside the package.
You can also use your own custom map: open MapConfig.js found inside the package and replace the existing tile URL with your own MapTiler tile URL and API key.

If your waypoints are all piled up just west of Africa, at zero coordinates, please update your addon - the new fix has solved the issue with the generic MSFS 2024 waypoints.

Airwave Radio Addon & Media Player for EFB
This add-on introduces local radio stations to the MSFS2024 electronic flight bag, enabling users to listen to music as they fly. The addon detects streaming internet radio-stations based on your aircraft location, and treats them as real AM/FM stations, mimicking the radio-signal behavior. Station availability is based on realistic signal ranges, and optional signal degradation offers a more authentic audio experience. Installation includes a simple background Windows application and an EFB plugin for the Community folder.

EFB Pilot Logbook
EFB Pilot Logbook offers a customizable, paper-style logbook within Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 for recording flight details by airframe and registration. Users can document departures, arrivals, and flight notes, with automatically generated or manually edited route maps. All logbook entries and maps are fully editable and support multiple languages. The add-on operates entirely within MSFS 2024 without the need for external applications.

But (of course) I also have a few (small) requests: Maybe you could add a field to the data bar showing wind information (direction/speed) at the current position. And in the data bar for the marker, it would be helpful to show the flight time from the current position to the marker, based on the current ground speed.
Another idea would be a (transparent or separate) layer showing the airspace structure, especially restricted airspace and control zones.

I'll definitely look into adding wind info and ETE to the marker, it shouldn't be hard. One thing I definitely put on my wishlist for this map is the airspaces overlay, because except for PMS GTN, Navigraph, and GTNXI there's really no reliable map showing airspaces and their altitudes. I'm totally gonna look into this, it can be a great addition to the 2024 native Cowansim R22 that will be released soon with the in-cockpit EFB.
Thanks once again!

Does it work well in VR? Cause I've never tested it with a headset.

I will include your fix in the next update and will also credit your contribution in the addon description if you don't mind.
Thanks once again and let's hope Asobo won't break anything in the SU7 :D

Automatic flight-plan loading is actually something I’m still looking into. MSFS 2024 now has an API that can retrieve the route currently loaded in the simulator’s EFB, so in principle it should be possible to import it directly into Simple Moving Map instead of exporting a PLN file every time. The flight-planning APIs in MSFS 2024 have changed quite a bit and some of the older methods are unreliable, which is why manual PLN import has been the most dependable solution so far.
As for displaying the map on a tablet or in an external browser: yes, that’s absolutely possible, but there’s a catch. A normal browser running outside MSFS cannot communicate directly with the simulator the way an in-game HTML/JavaScript app can. You normally need a small companion program running on the PC that talks to MSFS through SimConnect and then sends the aircraft position and other data over the local network to the browser/tablet.
That’s exactly the kind of additional background application I’ve been trying to avoid with Simple Moving Map — I want it to remain a lightweight MSFS add-on that doesn’t require users to install and run another program.
