Description

Weston Airport, also called Dublin Weston Airport, is a historic publicly licensed general aviation (GA) Irish airport serving Dublin and its environs since the early 1930s.

This is my rendition of Weston Airport. All custom building models and models, textures and materials created by me, Jerome Logue.

Airport ground layout has been edited using ScruffyDuck Software's excellent ADE and the excellent Microsoft Flight SImulator Developer Mode.

I created this scenery, since a user on the Microsoft Flight Simulator forum pointed out that this popular airport could do with an upgrade.

Installation: Place the folder (jeromelogue-airport-eiwt-weston) contained within the PackagesContent folder within the zip, into your MSFS Community folder.

v1.06 a few minor improvements to existing models. Trees have been reigned back a bit again. Let me know if they've been cut back to much!

I am currently working on adding more to this project!...flags should be added eventually and tower interior and area behind carpark still need updating...

v1.04 is a work in progress release version...another update should be along soon, although this version is compiled with the latest version of the MSFS SDK, for compatibilty with MSFS Sim Update 5 Hotfix 1.18.15.0

includes:

fence, bus shelter, park bench and bin

new hangers

better ground merged textures

realistic runway lighting (no runway lighting)

v1.05 adds hedges along road, near runway

more fencing

gate between main terminal building and main hanger added

Hey, So at night the Runway isint lit at all and there are no papi lights In msfs24 could you update it please otherwise I really like it

Very nice scenery. This is my local airport, and it's very nice to see how much work you put into this.
If there is going to be a future update, would it be possible to update the NFC apron at the back of the airport? I could provide pictures if that would help.

Hi there - thanks for your feedback!...yeah you can message my with some photos here, if you'd like and I'll do my best to update the airport. I have plans to update this further although have been busy with other projects lately and in the immediate future, although there are still updates I have planned (tower interior/custom flags and more...)...

Hi the scenery looks great. Just one thing I noticed using SU10 preview. Night lights on taxiways and runways are not visible. Other lights such as the hangars show great. Any ideas?. Thanks for producing this lovely piece of work. Much appreciated.

Thanks a whole lot for this very well made airport. Looks great with lots of details. I will mention it with my "MSFS Airport Update Special" for FS MAGAZIN.

May I suggest that you dim the lights? I'm sure that the lights at the tower and hangar is much to bright. What do you think?

hi there Bert - thanks for that feedback! I will indeed dim the lights in the next update. It's something I've been meaning to do, and I think I tamed them back a bit at some stage, although they are still way too bright! There are still many things to update in this project, and I will get to them at some stage. A few more buildings around the airport to add also. AMAZING!!! Most beautiful regional airport I’ve seen so far!!! I absolutely love it! The details you put in there…up to the navigational charts in the entrance and the menus in the restaurant! You are the best! I wish someone would put that much care in the creation of my regional airport EDKB! Thank you for giving that much joy!😉
