Lelystad Airport - EHLE/LEY

I started this project more than a year ago, specifically to add the missing air traffic control tower to the scenery. The project grew and grew and 13-or-so months later it's time for version 1.0! I intend to keep tweaking various parts and I'll be supporting the Sim updates as they roll out, so the project isn't finished. It's been long enough, however, and it's time to get this show on the road!

• (Almost) all of the buildings are custom handcrafted models with up-to-date textures.
• Custom taxiway signs and taxiway lines
• Aviodrome museum with static aircraft displays.
• Background satellite imagery up to date (March 2020).
• Runway lengthened to 2700 metres with corresponding taxiways.
• Details around the airfield including visual reference points.
• Radio navigation aids/frequencies correspond to the AIP.
• The new terminal with several parking spots

Download the airport scenery file and copy that to your Community folder. I suggest first removing the old version to avoid potential conflicts, but it should work properly if you overwrite the files when prompted.

The aerial scenery is highly recommended but not mandatory. If you want to have the aerial background, download the aerial imagery (separate scenery: https://flightsim.to/file/15675/lelystad-airport-aerial-background or the other file you can download from this page) and unzip that file ("aerialehle") to your Community folder. The scenery ("airport-ehle-lelystad") should be unzipped seperately, so you should now have 2 files in your folder.

• Detail work (small objects like benches, trees, vehicles, etc.)
• A few buildings need minor tweaks.
• Upgrade the aircraft models and textures.
• Add parking spaces.
• Work out more LODs.

• There's a lot of issues I'm hoping Asobo will finally fix with the upcoming update, including exclude polygons, vegetation, textures, LODs, crashes, etc. Some things might not work completely optimally until then.
• Several buildings need minor tweaking, see above.

A very special thanks to users Garfield and Vlammetje for providing textures and/or assests I've used in this rendition! Garfield has really added an extra dimension with his texturing skills, and I'm forever grateful to Vlammetje for facilitating a real-world tour of the airport. Flight Simulator Forums user PoorlyMaple (aka Emile) provided me with base textures for two Aviodrome aircraft, so a big thanks to him as well!

As many of you know, the latest SU5 has resulted in performance improvements, at the cost of quite a few (sometimes showstopping) bugs. I have experienced a lot of the same bugs that others have, including CTD's, texture issues, etc. I cannot absolutely guarantee you will not run into issues with SU5 and this scenery. My simulator is at the moment too unstable to properly test everything and even attempting to address some issues (specifically, projected meshes - the taxiway markings) results in a CTD/BSOD on my end. I am confident that my scenery will not somehow incinerate your computer, but it is very possible that there are some issues in this version.
