    Description

    BGBW – Narsarsuaq International Airport (Tribute Scenery)

    This handcrafted scenery recreates BGBW – Narsarsuaq International Airport , the project includes a modeled terminal and two custom-built hangars, all created from scratch to capture the unique atmosphere of this historic Arctic airport.

    This scenery is my personal tribute to Narsarsuaq, which is scheduled to close in April. For decades, the airport has served as a vital gateway to South Greenland, connecting remote communities and welcoming pilots to one of the most breathtaking and challenging flying environments in the world.

    Through this project, I wanted to preserve the spirit and character of Narsarsuaq — its rugged surroundings, its historical significance, and its special place in aviation history — so that virtual pilots can continue to experience it even after its real-world closure.

    Well done, looking great!

    Unfortunately the airport now seems to be missing its approaches (RNAV/NDB), which the default airport still had.
    Is this an issue with the addon or just a MSFS24 hiccup? Uninstalling the Addon brings them back.
    Also the runway is a bit too long (approx 6700ft vs 6000ft), when compared to for example Google Maps it seems like its stretched a bit too far across the paved surface.

    Afaik the airport never had an ILS, so the approaches from the default version seem to be all it ever had, which is perfectly fine imho.

    I forgot to tell you , its a silent update . You can just download it now and you’ll get the latest with those issues fixed. :)

    Oh, i didnt know flightsim.to had such an update option. Makes me wonder how many updates of my downloaded stuff i have actually missed out on... :O

    Anyway, i re-downloaded the file but nothing has changed. I checked it against the previous version and no file has any changes, even the archive has the same checksum. :-/
