Description
This folder contains a repaint for the Douglad AD-1 Skyraider by Miltech & Blackbird.
It shows A-1H Skyraider NL405 Bu.No. 135300 of VA-25 aboard USS Coral Sea in 1968. This was the aircraft that flew that flew the last popellor-driven carrier-based combat mission from the flight deck of the USS Coral Sea in the South China Sea off the coast of Vietnam. It was officially retired during ceremonies at NAS Lemoore, CA. Its last combat mission came on February 20, 1968, flying rescue combat air patrol and providing close air support to Marines at Khe Sanh. It was the last combat mission of that cruise for VA-25 and the last for the Navy's Skyraiders. The flight was made by LTJG Theodore D. Hill Jr., who later flew the plane to Pensacola. It is now on exhibit at the National Naval Aviation Museum Pensacola, FL. Repaint by JanKees, based on the paintkit by Miltech.

If you unzip the file, you shouldn't place the unzipped folder directly into the community folder, but drop the two folders within that folder (JK_Skyraider_VA-25_405NL and JK_Skyraider_VA-25-410NL) into the community folder and all will be fine (apart from both having the same thumbnail I see now...)
