Important Installation Note:

If you previously installed the MSFS 2020 version of KSAN, please disable it in My Library or remove it from your Community folder before installing the native MSFS 2024 version. After removing or disabling the MSFS 2020 version, restart the simulator and install the MSFS 2024 version. Keeping both versions installed or active at the same time may cause scenery conflicts.

NOTE: Carriers placed on another BGL, now you can turn on or off Carriers . To remove Carriers, go to “glideslope-ksan-san-diego\Scenery\glideslope\ksan-scene” and rename the following files: Carrier_SCN.bgl -> Carrier_SCN.disabled"

San Diego International Airport, formerly known as Lindbergh Field, is located three miles northwest of Downtown San Diego, California. It is owned and operated by the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority and is one of the busiest airports in California.

KSAN is widely known as one of the busiest single-runway airports in the world. Its approach offers a distinctive flying experience due to the close proximity of Downtown San Diego, the relatively short usable landing area, the descent over Bankers Hill, and changing wind conditions during final approach.

This native MSFS 2024 version brings a major upgrade to the scenery, with the newly built Terminal 1 as the main highlight. The terminal has been fully modeled in detail, including complete interiors and surrounding structures.

The airport has been fully adapted for the MSFS 2024 SDK, featuring updated ground textures, LOD optimization, and performance improvements throughout the scenery.

Ask that a couple of the helo landing/parking spots at the Coast Guard station be left open (no static helo's). One of us likes to fly our MH-60 helo from there.

New scenery has the same problem as old one. AI airplanes don't use displaced thresholds for take off. It's not realistic. Look at airport diagram taxiway b1 is where take off starts https://aeronav.faa.gov/d-tpp/2607/00373AD.PDF

This is a well done, up to date rendition of KSAN. Well optimized and good value. Airline gate code assignments need to be addressed which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. I will revise once gate assignments are incorporated.
