Glideslope Pro has released 🔆 Oakland International Airport (KOAK) for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024. Located about 10 miles south of downtown Oakland, the airport serves California's East Bay and handles domestic flights, international routes to Mexico, Central America and the Azores, as well as cargo traffic to Asia.

    KOAK terminal view

The add-on includes custom terminal buildings, animated jetways and airline-specific gate assignments. Each parking position has been configured with airline codes to reflect how the airport is used in real life. An animated BART train can also be seen moving through the airport area.

Glideslope Pro has also paid particular attention to the ground surfaces, with custom markings, high-resolution textures and weathering effects across the aprons and taxiways. The airport buildings feature parallax windows to give their interiors a sense of depth, while additional structures outside the airport perimeter help recreate the surrounding area.

    KOAK ground details

Oakland is an interesting option for pilots flying around the San Francisco Bay Area. Its location on the eastern side of the bay makes it a useful starting point for shorter regional flights, while its mix of passenger and cargo operations offers plenty of variety.

    KOAK overview

Those interested in adding Oakland International Airport to their Microsoft Flight Simulator installation can find more details and purchase the scenery through the official 🔆 product page at Flightsim.to. The add-on is compatible with both MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024.
