Baghdad International Airport — known by its ICAO code ORBI — is one of the most strategically significant airports in the Middle East. Situated roughly 16 kilometres west of the Iraqi capital, it serves as the primary international gateway to Iraq and handles a wide range of carriers connecting Baghdad to destinations across the region and beyond. Azrsim, a developer with a growing catalogue of Middle Eastern scenery, has now released of Baghdad V2 for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.

The scenery centres on a carefully crafted recreation of the airport's terminal building, with particular attention paid to the exterior architecture and the interior passenger spaces that give Baghdad its distinct character. Fully modelled terminal interiors include departure halls, shops, seating areas, and gate zones, allowing for a level of immersion that goes well beyond a simple exterior shell.
Beyond the terminal itself, Azrsim has modelled the airside environment in considerable detail. Gate areas feature fully modelled jet bridges, and the apron and aircraft parking zones are reproduced to support realistic ground operations. Ground service equipment, vehicles, stairs, and supporting airport infrastructure are placed throughout the airside area. Custom airport objects and surrounding scenery extend the detail beyond the immediate terminal and apron areas.

If you fly the Middle East, ORBI has historically been a destination notable more for its absence than its presence in quality scenery. Baghdad V2 gives you a credible, detailed hub from which to operate scheduled services, regional connections, or longer intercontinental routes. Azrsim Baghdad V2 (ORBI) is available now for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. You can find the add-on and purchase it directly through the Flightsim.to Store ➡️ ORBI – Baghdad International Airport on Flightsim.to.
