Andorra is one of Europe's smallest and most unusual countries — a landlocked microstate nestled high in the Pyrenees between France and Spain, where the terrain is so mountainous that there simply is no room for an airport within its own borders. Instead, travelers flying to Andorra use the Andorra - La Seu d'Urgell Airport (LESU), located just across the Spanish border in the Catalan town of La Seu d'Urgell. Despite its small scale, it holds a certain charm for pilots who enjoy exploring off-the-beaten-path destinations in southern Europe. The airport received official coverage in Microsoft Flight Simulator as part of Asobo's Iberia World Update, which brought improved scenery to Spain and Portugal.
However, the subsequent introduction of updated Bing photogrammetry data introduced some visual inconsistencies at the site — the kind of artifacts that can undermine an otherwise well-crafted location. Community developer 🔗 Snoopy7412 has taken it upon themselves to address these issues with a focused scenery enhancement released on Flightsim.to.

The update addresses the photogrammetry blending problems that emerged at Andorra by cleaning up the affected areas around the airport and bringing the overall environment more in line with the real-world site's current state. Several hangars that were absent from Asobo's original representation have been added to better match the actual layout of the airport. Windsocks and vegetation have also been revised.

Beyond the corrective work, Snoopy7412 has added a layer of additional detail that gives the airport more life. Human figures, outdoor furniture, and antennas populate the environment, and night lighting has been introduced to make the location usable during evening operations. An off-airport helipad has also been placed to reflect real-world infrastructure in the area.

For MSFS 2020 users, an optional static traffic package is included, featuring aircraft types representative of what actually operates at Andorra - La Seu d'Urgell in real life. Users who prefer not to use the static traffic, or who are running MSFS 2024, can simply omit that folder during installation. Static Bell helicopters are part of the main airport folder and should appear in both simulator versions, though at least one early user has noted they did not appear in MSFS 2024 — something the developer may address in a future update.
Installation is straightforward: Unzip the downloaded files directly into your Community folder. All World Updates should be installed prior to use. The Aerosoft Paderborn package is recommended but not required, as it accounts for only a small number of minor objects. This mod is built to work alongside Asobo's base airport and is not compatible with third-party payware versions of LESU.

If you enjoy exploring quieter, more obscure destinations — particularly those surrounded by dramatic mountain scenery — Andorra - La Seu d'Urgell is a rewarding destination, and this update makes it a more faithful and polished one.
