Indira Gandhi International Airport, serving the Indian capital of New Delhi, is one of the most significant aviation hubs in all of Asia. Ranked consistently among the busiest airports in the world by passenger traffic, Indira handles hundreds of millions of journeys each year, acting as the primary gateway to the subcontinent for travellers from Europe, North America, the Middle East, and across Asia. Developer DhruvSim has now released a dedicated scenery package for Microsoft Flight Simulator, bringing this airport to life for both MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024.

The scenery places a strong emphasis on recreating the character and atmosphere of Delhi, rather than simply representing its physical structure. The terminal buildings — including the iconic Terminal 3, one of the largest airport terminals in the world — have been modelled with attention to accuracy, featuring high-quality PBR materials that respond to changing light conditions throughout the day. The airport layout reflects the current real-world configuration.

Ground texturing across the airport has received similar attention, with PBR surfaces lending the aprons and taxiways a grounded quality. The airside environment includes animated buses and other ground elements, while static aircraft are positioned throughout the airport to populate the scene. On the landside, the surrounding environment has been developed to extend the sense of place beyond the airport perimeter, with Aerocity and portions of the Dwarka district modelled as part of the approach surroundings.
