Flying Fries has just released ➡️ Quasar, a fully fictional high-performance aircraft that defies the usual boundaries of Microsoft Flight Simulator. Conceived by Lord Frites in late 2023 and developed over two years, the project represents the studio’s most ambitious and technically demanding aircraft to date. Designed to operate at near-orbital altitudes and extreme speeds, the Quasar pushes the limits of what the simulator’s physics and rendering engines can handle in both MSFS 2020 and 2024.

The aircraft’s specifications place it firmly beyond conventional aviation. The Quasar can climb to approximately 275,000 feet, while the MSFS 2024 version reaches an astonishing 10 million feet — effectively entering the realm of spaceflight. Its cruising profile sits around 130,000 feet at Mach 7.8, equivalent to roughly 5,000 knots ground speed.

Beyond its extraordinary performance, Flying Fries has implemented a range of original systems and features. The aircraft includes a complex fuel management model where fuel can be generated in flight, a simulated nuclear reactor powering an advanced electrical system, and a challenging flight model that emphasizes realistic handling over arcade-style control. Pilots can interact with a custom EFB (Electronic Flight Bag) for configuration, refueling, and access to a built-in cargo mission generator that spans nearly 3,000 airports and over 100 cargo types.

The Quasar also integrates Working Title’s Garmin G3000 avionics and an autopilot suite adapted for high-speed operation. A custom sound pack adds to the immersion, with layered audio effects responding dynamically to airflow and structural stress. Visual fidelity is equally emphasized, with optimized 4K textures, animated afterburners, contrails, heat blur, and other atmospheric effects.

An onboard AI system named K.A.R.A. (Kinetic Aeronautical Responsive Assistant) brings additional character to the experience, delivering over 120 lines of interactive dialogue. The package even includes an original soundtrack featuring nine tracks designed to accompany long-distance or high-altitude flights. The Quasar is a bold experiment in stretching the creative and technical limits of Microsoft Flight Simulator, offering a blend of realism, science fiction, and open-ended exploration. You can find Quasar by Flying Fries now available ➡️ for purchase on Flightsim.to.

Fun thing, but not a fun price for it…

I agree. It looks interesting, original, and I believe entertaining, but the price is quite high.

Prix élevé et développeur assez hypocrite : je le connaissais via le groupe Akula tout d’un coup j’ai été mis à l’écart pour espérer le tester avant la sortie sans aucune explication ça en dit long sur l’esprit du développeur !😟

So you’re crying because I know you from your name (and nothing more), and I didn’t think it was enough to include you in the beta testers? To be clear, you have never been set apart, but you’ve just never been invited to join the testers in the first place. Nothing against you, but my team was already complete and, again, we didn’t know each other that much. Sorry that you are angry against me, but it’s really your issue, mate.
