The Global AI Ship Traffic (GAIST) Ultra project has released Version 7, bringing substantial enhancements to maritime traffic simulation in Microsoft Flight Simulator. This latest update supports both MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024, with compatibility for preprogrammed traffic and MSFS 2024's real-time ship traffic feature. Version 7 includes over 1,000 unique ship models featuring more than 2,400 liveries and more than 80,000 ship movements across global routes. The scope of the included vessels is broad, ranging from dredgers, barges, tugs, and pilot boats to large cruise ships from operators such as AIDA Cruises, Carnival Cruises, Cunard, Royal Caribbean, and Norwegian Cruise Lines. The package also encompasses fishing vessels, navy ships, Coast Guard vessels, and more than three hundred ferry routes with dedicated ferry models.

Newly added in this version are additional fishing boats, coast guard vessels, offshore ships, and container vessels. Several older models have been updated with improved visuals and textures, while others incompatible with MSFS 2024 have been removed. Most models now include Level of Detail (LOD) improvements aimed at better performance. Installation requires removal of previous GAIST versions, though Global AI Ship Traffic Great Lakes can remain active in MSFS 2020.

Some limitations remain due to current constraints in the MSFS engine and AIS data integration, particularly in MSFS 2024. Issues such as unstable ship movements, limited model matching, and reduced traffic in offline mode are noted, with the developers urging understanding as solutions depend on future updates from Asobo and their data providers.

You can now ⭐ download the latest version on Flightsim.to. Global AI Ship Traffic Ultra Version 7 is a freeware project. You are encouraged to consider supporting the creators and contributing developers through donations if you find the add-on valuable.

right now one can’t disable the AI aircraft without disabling AI ship traffic too. It’s a weird oversight afaik

Amazing work- The Long Island Sound ferry between Pt Jeff and Bridgeport is something I know very well and your representation of the Grand Republic looks amazing. No idea how you do it, but it brings that much more realism to the sim for me.
    Thanks!

Strange, it works just fine on my end. I have AI traffic from AIGTC and online ship traffic from GAIST 🤔

Thanks a lot for your work, Just a brief note…Gibraltar is packed with a lot of green container ships “China shipping Line”, piled on sea and onshore and there are reports maybe true maybe not that they missed paying tarifs…🙁

Out of the blue I cannot see any ship traffic in BC. I looked at Horseshoe Bay and went over to Nanaimo. In reality the area is teeming with ferries and cargo vessels. Nothing now. I have all of the files I believe I need plus the executive. All of this has worked in Europe so far. Is there another routes file for the Pacific Northwest? MS2020
