HeadwindSim has released version 0.7.0 of its popular Airbus A330-900neo add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. Their freeware project continues to provide an accessible yet feature-rich recreation of the modern wide-body jet, delivering updates that enhance both the cockpit and systems. The Airbus A330-900neo, an evolution of the A330-300, is equipped with advanced Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 engines and improved aerodynamics for better efficiency. The latest update brings a host of improvements to the cockpit, textures, and flight model.

Among the notable cockpit changes in v0.7.0 are a reworked glareshield, detailed textures, and animations for seats, side panels, and various cockpit elements, including the center MCDU and backwall. Systems enhancements include updates to the autopilot disconnect logic, FCU and FMGC systems, and new sound triggers for engine starts. Additionally, the flight model now offers improved flare logic for landings, and the EFB aircraft drawing on the service page has been updated. This update also introduces integration with SayIntentions AI, allowing premium subscribers to access ACARS CPDLC functionality.

As always, you are advised to fully remove previous installations before upgrading to ensure smooth operation. You can download the latest version either through the HeadwindSim Installer or through Flightsim.to. If you appreciate the work of HeadwindSim, consider donating to support their efforts in bringing this high-quality freeware to the community.

Why even use the sim if you want to speed up flights?

Why do you care? If he wants to fly at 16x, how does this impact your life? If you want to spend 14 hours in front of your computer flying between continents, great. Some of us have day jobs that prevent us from spending 14 hours flying, so if 4x allows us to get in some flying after work, so be it. After all, Microsoft thought it was a great feature, which is why it has been part of all MS flight simulators for as long as I can remember. PMDG has built it into their simulated aircraft, as have just about every other developer. Based on my read of Andrew's post, he was just expressing a wish for 4x. Maybe you should refrain from commenting on posts if you have nothing of value to add.

Exactly. not all of us have the luxury of free time

Literally just take off at a time that would allow you to return at the time of landing. Through jobs, college, and flight training I've always been able to do any flight at any length if I plan out the time. The simulator SIMULATES real world flying, and no real world flight speeds up the time. It doesn't affect me what others do yet perplexes me why people wouldn't use it as intended

    Now with worse flight dynamics

Start paying me $350 an hour to sit in the left seat then.

Because we have a life which we don't want to waste watching the panel of an aircraft in cruise without doing anything.

I think we should respect other simmers' choices to fly at whatever speed they prefer in a flight simulator. There's nothing wrong with flying fast or at a normal speed—it's all about what you enjoy. Everyone is unique and has their own style of flying, and that's part of what makes the community so diverse and interesting, I guess.

Is it just me having trouble with the fuel transfer of the aircraft, I didnt notice it until i had a dual engine failure and then realized the most outer tanks never transferred fuel back to the center most tanks

Why are you such a butt hurt individual? I only asked a question. Maybe you should refrain from commenting on posts if you have nothing of value to add.

Exactly! Some in this world simply are antisocial and have issues like 2391212 who attempted a proper post above.

Then you should not have bought this sim. If you deem playing this sim as a waste of time, why did you buy it?

so i would like to report one problem that is after the aircraft reaches the speed of around 200 the engine suddenly cut off to 20% and would not go to toga mode i would request the developers to fix this problem please thank you

You didn't just ask a question. You made a statement passing judgement on Andrew for asking for sim rate acceleration to work at 4x rate, which is a perfectly legitimate ask and entirely in keeping with the sim’s design. Based on the comments below, you are clearly in the minority.

The SIMULATOR sim's time acceleration as well. Microsoft designed it this way. If you want to go get groceries while flying, great, have at it, but please spare us the condescension for using a feature of the sim clearly designed by MS to make the hobby more attractive to those of us with less time to play pilot.

That take some nerve, Simracer. Me antisocial? What exactly was the intent of your first comment on Andrew's post?

Thank you! I couldn't agree more!!!

Who are you to tell anyone what they should or should not do? No one cares if you like flying in normal time, but please don't judge anyone that feels otherwise. Again, the sim was designed with this feature in mind. It's people like you that feel the need to add snarky remarks to every post from a newbie for help etc. that makes this HOBBY so very frustrating. I have a private pilot’s license, and I still like sim rate acceleration. When flying in my Cessna, yes, I have no choice but to fly in real time. But as someone with a full-time job who enjoys flying large commercial jets to places I haven’t yet visited, I appreciate the sim rate acceleration feature. I’m glad you prefer real time flying, but as SR20DETT said, everyone is unique and has their own style of flying - it's all about what you enjoy.

I do not give a damn if I am in the minority. No one here can read my mind and you are becoming an incessant fool.

It was a question NOT a comment. Go away as you are only making a fool of yourself and are now trolling too.

Who are you to tell anyone what they should or should not do? No one cares
Go away snowflake. You are not gaining any brownie points for your butt hurt persona. Some people's children folks....
I see you are flapping your gums via the keyboard right now. I will reply to a child like you no more (you are acting like a child). You are in the wrong in every way. Deal with it snowflake.

Clearly we can since you made your views very clear on the matter (in writing), and insults are always appropriate when someone points out your bad behavior.

Snowflake? How original. Maybe next time keep your thoughts to yourself and don't try and denigrate those of us that don't agree with your world view of how to use a product we all paid for and enjoy using. I could care less of what you think of me, but you owe Andrew an apology, dear sir. And if this is the behaviour we can expect from so-called adults, no wonder our society is devolving quickly into an online dumpster.

Okay one more reply to the snowflake. All your comments directed at me are bad behavior simply because you cannot think before typing. Learn about life and how to treat others .

Keep on trolling me. It just proves what type of malcontent you really are.

Exactly. Maybe you should have followed that same advice.

    Keep on trolling.

Wow, you really are funny and completely oblivious to the fact that it was your bad behaviour that motivated me to "troll" you in the first place. Apologize and I'll move on.

    Gladly!

Keep on trolling. The popcorn tastes great little one. lol

I don't believe the lack of self-awareness in your comments. You're complaining about others being butthurt and not commenting if people don't have anything of value to add. But you're the one who's butthurt over someone else using simrate. You're the one not contributing anything of value to this thread. All you're contributing is toxicity by being so provocative toward others whom disagree with you. You're even insulting other people for no reason. Stop being a child.

Maybe you should refrain from posts all together
This is a free world and I am allowed to comment without the fear of being ridiculed by those who cannot glean information from a post. Deal with the facts instead of trying to play the spin doctor routine.
