KiwiFlightSim has just released a new add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator, recreating NCRG - Rarotonga International Airport, the main gateway to the Cook Islands. Located in Polynesia, Rarotonga Airport serves as the central hub for travelers arriving to explore the tropical landscapes and rich marine life of this island region. KiwiFlightSim's newest product comes with detailed textures, lighting, and custom-designed objects.

The airport includes accurately modeled airport buildings and custom ground markings. Several interiors have been designed, including the terminal and control tower, with features such as the check-in counters, seating areas, and two vibrant murals that showcase local art. Another mural, the Marae Moana, stands out along the coastal road near the airport. Spanning 500 meters, it celebrates Rarotonga’s natural beauty and rich marine life.

Beyond the airport, surrounding areas like the local supermarket and Apii Nikao Primary School have also been recreated. The port area, complete with custom-modeled cranes and containers, contributes to the authenticity of the island’s urban landscape, with dynamic lighting effects that adjust throughout the day and night. For night approaches, an airport beacon, custom windsocks and enhanced apron lighting have been included.

If you’re interested in adding Rarotonga Airport to your collection, you can purchase the scenery priced at 19.50$ excl. VAT on Flightsim.to, and bring a piece of Polynesian beauty to your simulator.

A bit too expensive for such a tiny airport, in my opinion. I would be ready to pay max. 12$ excl. VAT.

Looks very nicely modeled. But I also find this small airport a bit expensive at over 22 euros with VAT. Maybe another time.

How impressive that you can design such an excellent module, while I can only develop a simple game website like mirthwood.org.
