    Taog's Hangar has today introduced the UH-1H Huey Helicopter to Microsoft Flight Simulator. The UH-1H Huey, also known as the "Iroquois" is a multi-purpose helicopter that first entered service with the United States Army in the 1960s. It quickly became an iconic aircraft due to its extensive use during the Vietnam War. The Huey is renowned for its versatility, capable of performing a wide range of missions including troop transport, medical evacuation, and cargo transport. With its distinctive rotor sound and robust design, the UH-1H Huey has served in various military and civilian roles across the globe and remains a symbol of rotary-wing aviation.

    Taog's Hangar has recreated this helicopter for Microsoft Flight Simulator, allowing pilots to engage in activities such as rescue operations, cargo transport, and exploration. The addon includes three variants: Military, Civilian, and High Skids. Each version is crafted to ensure a realistic and immersive experience, accommodating different mission profiles.

    Realism in Sound and Detail

    Taog's Hangar has focused on realism with a sound package that captures the UH-1H's rotor and engine sounds. Users can customize their UH-1H Huey with over 30 attachment options, including external fuel tanks and mission-specific gear. Additionally, there are 40 detailed liveries available for further personalization.

    Flight Dynamics and More

    The addon features an advanced flight model utilizing Microsoft Flight Simulator's CFD technology, ensuring accurate and responsive flight dynamics that mimic the UH-1H's handling characteristics. Every switch, gauge, and system within the UH-1H Huey has been modeled to function as in the real aircraft.     The Heli looks great the liveries are so well done. But, I don't see how to put any weapons on the military versions. I expected miniguns, rocket launchers, or at least a M-60. But I am unable to attach any of these to the heli. I don't even see options for them. I hope these come in a future update. All I see are weapon mounts sans any weapons.

    "for the first day" is misleading, as now just 16 hrs later (not 24hrs) your 10% off sale has gone. Ridiculous and misleading. I didn't have access yesterday. You have just lost a customer. Way to kill the enjoyment of a new release.

    i see no reason to put weapons on any aircraft in msfs just for placebo effect. there are other games to play with weapons

    Indeed it hasn't. it was by the looks of things a 10hr offer only. 2pm->midnight (UK time). It would have been fairer to offer a discount to customers who own Taog's previous releases. On principle I'm not spendng full price on this now. They completely ruined this release for me.

    Misleading is the word. Taog has said that it was intended to be for release day only, but that isn't what they have said in the above article. They said 'for the first day' not 'only on the first day of release' or 'for the first 10 hrs' (which it ended up being) and the last time I looked a day had 24 hrs in it. I'm very annoyed on principle and I was looking forward to flying the huey today. They wrecked the launch expereience for many of us I suspect which is a crazy way to do business. Surely better to have offered a non time limited discount to previous Taog's Hanger heli owners instead.

    Excellent job with the UH-1H. Having flown these in my past life as an Army Aviator, this addon is very close to the way the real aircraft flies. Bravo Zulu! My wish list would include to see if Taog would do an AH-1G and AH-1S Cobra, or a YAH-65 Cheyenne, or a U.S. Coast Guard HH-65A Dolphin helicopter. Thanks again!

    great chopper, But Taogs, many suggest two things missing from this outstanding machine. One I would like one more crew chief on the right side. And the main one the ability to sling load I was to be able to live logs and drums etc. Just a suggestion.

    This dev has given a lot of freeware & so many are crying about $3.00 over something that most likely was a mistake in the launch. How much has most everyone spent on mods since 2000, about a tiny, tiny fraction of $3.00. Everybody, grow up !

    Love this UH-1H. Flying it quite a lot now and listening meanwhile to the 'optional soundrack" 😉 😉 Noticed, that the top rotating beackon is only visable when close by. Thank you Taog.

    I have been impatiently waiting for this helicopter seeing as I was at FSExpo running the National eSTOL Exhibit/Competition and had no time to download it in the hotel room and fly for a minute. I love Taog's work and as a relatively new developer, Taog does work like he's been doing it forever. Thanks for another great release!

    Helicopter very real in its behavior. Difficult to handle for a layman. Complicated autorotation on takeoff. Very heavy in terms of fps. It is not a toy and it is appreciated. In short, a good job.

    I also i like to see weapons on my aircraft. I assume you like to have your aircraft a curtain color or type, if so i guess we are suffering from the same placebo effect.
