The flight simulation community has a new addition - the freeware Cessna T206H, developed by sal1800. This mod offers a detailed virtual representation of the Cessna T206H Stationair for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The Cessna T206H, known for its versatility and reliability in general aviation, is powered by a Lycoming TIO-540-AJ1A engine with 300 horsepower. It accommodates six passengers and has a useful load of 1,320 pounds (600 kilograms), suitable for various missions including bush trips and executive transport.

The freeware Cessna T206H released by sal1800 reflects extensive use of photographic references and insights from pilots and mechanics. The mod aims to provide a realistic experience, replicating flight dynamics and cockpit details accurately. This addon includes two configurations: a standard tire variant and a tundra tire variant. The tundra tire configuration, utilizing SU15 ground handling physics, is designed for rugged terrains.

The Cessna T206H comes with two livery options per configuration. The default steam gauge model features a red stripe motif, while the upgraded avionics variant has a blue stripe design. Future updates are expected to include more livery designs and colors. The addon also offers various interactive features, such as operable doors and windows, and a functional cargo system, enhancing the flight operations experience.

Future updates will include a paint kit for custom livery designs. There is also the potential for an amphibious variant. The freeware Cessna T206H is the result of collaboration, with significant contributions from bagolu, Birk, and beta testers who helped refine the mod. I hear we are getting updated panel textures soon, and then once the systems and base model is stable a paint kit! Watching this closely, I think it will be up there amongst the best freeware available!

Thank you for all the kind words. This was an enjoyable project to work on because as I became more familiar with the aircraft I was more inspired to make it more detailed. The only limit is just my time and of the other developers. By being freeware, there is a better chance that this can be further modified by others.
One thing I realized while researching 206s was that no two seem to be alike. It's useful in very many different configurations I I wish that people can make it their own with customizations.
But most importantly, I start with the aerodynamic model and establish the flight characteristics before making a detailed model. Today's payware is very high quality especially with the graphical detail. More choices makes everyone happier.
I'll preview the next plan. I know that an amphibious version is highly desired so that's what is next.

Great plane sal1800! I have used it in two videos and really enjoy flying her. Now we just need more liveries and the amphibious version! How do you get the avatar to appear in the cockpit? I can see it from outside but not from inside. Thanks again for the outstanding work! -Mike

Hi, I have been trying out the wheel version and the amphibian. The latter is giving me trouble. Its water rudder is visibly going up and down when I press my assigned W key, and it can be seen moving when I use my pedals. But it has no effect, it works as if it did not exist.

Really impressed at he work you have put into this project. I discovered it only recently, and love it, thank you . I have a quesion and apologies in advance it it has been posted before. I have the PMS50 GTN750 , free edition, installed in Community Folder, and in fact use it in other aircraft. But how do I integrate it into the panel of your aircraft? I see that the tablet lists it but the selection box does not appear. It is in the toolbar (fs2020) and can be selected and powers up. But do I need a mod config to get it to show in the panel? Any idea why the electronics all shut down after about 2 minutes? Battery voltage is 28v but everything but the pad turns off and no way to turn them back on. It’s really a shame because this plane is awesome.
