Located five miles north of Lubbock, in Lubbock County, Texas, Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport serves as a vital hub in the region. The airport, named after former Texas governor Preston E. Smith, boasts a rich history and a significant role in serving the eighth-largest air traffic in Texas. Notably, it ranks first among smaller Texas cities for air traffic, trailing only behind the major airports in Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Austin, and El Paso. The airport is also recognized as a critical hub for FedEx and UPS feeder planes, connecting cities across the South Plains.

The new simulation product promises an accurate representation of Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport, featuring crafted ground textures that include runways, aprons, paths, and roads. The dynamic airport lighting system has been modeled and positioned with precision to enhance the realism of night flights and operations. Additionally, the simulation offers highly detailed models of all airport buildings, objects, and surroundings, ensuring an immersive experience that mirrors the real-life airport environment.

FLY2HIGH as placed a strong emphasis on optimizing the simulation for Frames Per Second. Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport is now available on Flightsim.to priced at $ 11.99 excl. VAT.

Very nice scenery. Missing parking spots at the cargo tarmac and could use a spot or two by the old terminal. A little disappointed that some of the ground textures are satellite images - 3D car and plane objects sitting on top of satellite photos of the ground which include cars and planes, etc. However, nice modeling of the terminal. A few small fixes and this is 5 star!
