Microsoft Flight Simulator has released its latest expansion with World Update XVI: Caribbean. This highly update brings the picturesque Caribbean region to life, offering virtual aviators an opportunity to explore its stunning landscapes and vibrant locales. Encompassing a wide range of Caribbean destinations, including Antigua, Aruba, Bahamas, Barbados, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Dominican Republic, Grenada, Haiti, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Saint Kitts & Nevis, Trinidad & Tobago, Turks & Caicos, and the United States Virgin Islands, this update offers a comprehensive experience.
World Update XVI: Caribbean introduces 104 Points of Interest (POIs) that enhance the region's authenticity and visual appeal. Among these notable landmarks are Bahama’s Nassau Harbor Lighthouse, Jamaica’s Colbeck Castle, Puerto Rico’s Faro De Pampatar, and Trinidad & Tobago’s Red House.
In collaboration with Gaya Simulations, Microsoft Flight Simulator has also included seven hand-crafted airports in the Caribbean. These airports include Dominican Republic’s Gregorio Luperón International Airport (Puerto Plata Airport) (MDPP), Haiti’s Antoine-Simon Airport (MTCA), Jamaica’s Sangster International Airport (MKJS), Trinidad & Tobago’s A.N.R. Robinson International Airport (formerly Crown Point International Airport) (TTCP), North Eleuthera Airport (MYEH) in the Bahamas, and Guadeloupe’s Les Saintes Airport (TFFS).
World Update XVI: Caribbean offers nine activities, including Discovery Flights to Saint Lucia, Saint Martin, and San Juan, Puerto Rico, as well as Landing Challenges, including an Epic Landing Challenge at the Dominican Republic's Gregorio Luperón International Airport (MDPP). Additionally, three Bush Trips allow players to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the Caribbean region.
World Update XVI: Caribbean is available as a free update for all Microsoft Flight Simulator owners. Players should ensure their simulator is updated to version 1.35.21.0, and then download World Update XVI: Caribbean.
