In a recent video update on YouTube, Shervin Ahooraei, the Owner and CEO of BlueBird Simulations, shared some exciting developments about the Boeing 757 project for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Ahooraei began by addressing several important questions and provided insights into the status of the aircraft. One of the most significant announcements was a shift in the project's fidelity. Originally planned as a 'mid-level' product, the Boeing 757 has now evolved into a 'high-fidelity, study-level' aircraft. Ahooraei expressed the team's commitment to delivering a realistic and complex simulation of the aircraft.

As for the release date, Ahooraei remained hopeful for a 2024 launch but emphasized that there are no guarantees. The video update also addressed questions from the community, including the release for Xbox, which Ahooraei confirmed will happen with some limitations due to the platform's inability to run external applications. He also assured the community that the BlueBird 757 will be compatible with both Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and Flight Simulator 2024, with a free upgrade option for the latter. However, the cargo variant of the 757 will be available as a paid expansion.

The video update provided an in-depth look at various aspects of the project, including the virtual cockpit, which has undergone significant rework over the last five months. Furthermore, Ahooraei introduced a new sound developer, Boris from Boris Audio Works, who will be working on aircraft sounds and aims to provide previews in the coming months. In an partnership announcement, Shervin Ahooraei revealed a collaboration with Navigraph. This partnership will help seamlessly integrate Navigraph data into both the 757 Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) and the flight management system, enhancing the overall simulation experience.
