IniBuilds has released a comprehensive development update for their eagerly anticipated A300-600R for Microsoft Flight Simulator, complete with a new trailer showcasing the aircraft's features. This update highlights the attention to detail and the array of features that will be available in the aircraft upon its release.
The A300-600R promises a highly detailed experience with a custom Flight Management System (FMS) that includes SID, STAR, SEC flight plan, custom VNAV and LNAV, along with altitude and speed constraints. It also features an independent FMS with high-resolution cockpit displays, a custom system rendition including hydraulic, electrical, pressurisation, and fuel operation, realistic RNAV and autoland capabilities, and more.
The visual aspects of the A300-600R are equally impressive. It includes new and optimized PBR textures up to 8K quality, a reworked 3D cockpit model, and new exterior models for both the passenger and freighter variants. There are various maintenance options, brake wear indicators, fueling panels, openable engine cowlings, and emergency slides on the passenger variant.
IniBuilds has furthermore incorporated an authentic WWise soundset with full 3D environment sound recordings from the real aircraft. This advanced implementation creates an immersive audio experience for the exterior, cabin, and cockpit. The A300-600R also includes pre-set cargo loads with visual models, a basic ground handling set, and a feature-rich onboard Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) that integrates Navigraph and SimBrief, along with performance calculators and a load manager.
Release Schedule and Future Updates
The initial product release is expected before the end of 2023, followed by a hotfix in January 2024 and a subsequent Marketplace submission including an Xbox-optimized version. A free update due in Q1 2024 will add Pratt & Whitney engines and full CPDLC/ACARS simulation, and a paid EPIC mod variant is slated for release in late 2024.
