In a recent update, Fenix Simulations has disclosed plans for a phased release of its Version 2 update. The rollout will be delivered in two separate blocks, according to their latest announcement. The first phase, named Block 1, will contain certain completed modules which include FBWv2, FMv2, and their new displays (ISIS initially, with smaller displays following later). In addition, Block 1 will include code-side performance optimisations, non-dependant avionics improvements throughout the aircraft, a new VNAV, and numerous bug fixes. Fenix Simulations intends to start rolling out Block 1 soon.

The second phase, Block 2, is projected to be completed by the end of September 2023. This block will feature the new visual model, the IAE and external engine model, further avionics fixes, EFBv2, and any necessary adjustments to Block 1. Fenix Simulations stated that Block 2 is still being fine-tuned. Furthermore, Fenix Simulations revealed that they have been working on the A321 and A319 models parallel to the V2 revamp of the A320. These new models will be released as a single expansion package by the end of this year, with a price tag of £39.99. Fenix Simulations also shared that all their product lines will receive free sharklet updates in early 2024.

Fenix Simulations clarified their decision to release the A321 and A319 models ahead of the A320 sharklets. The reason provided was that this approach ensures financial stability, which will support the continued development of their current and future product lines. For the time being, Fenix Simulations is encouraging users to test the updated displays, performance enhancements, and improved handling of the aircraft as they await the full release of V2. They also plan to release performance benchmarks for V2 Block 1, along with a changelog and a build in the coming week.

NICE!!!!!!!!! Just take my money, Fenix

Seriously? Gotta make whole new aircraft models to sell in order to be able to afford adding sharklets which were promised from day one? Sounds like some serious BS to me. Glad we have FBW. The Fenix will continue to collect dust inside my SSD. Looks ancient, performs like a slug and costs me too many frames per second not to enjoy it.

Are you really against this just because of sharklets thing delayed to give propriory to v2 general improvements and unexpected 319/321 modeling? Just stick with fbw then, but hey don't go complain to them about asobo default model still in use since Fbw 380 modeling still on progress for priority. People gotta moan for every little insignificant things nowdays..

Looks like the Aerosoft 330, isn't it?

Who said he was against anything? He just gave his opinion, you may not agree with it, but that doesn't make it any less valid. He has a point. I purchased the aircraft on day one and we were promised Sharklets and IAE engine updates. That was over 2 years ago, is it unreasonable for the OP to feel a little deflated and irritated? The only person making a ridiculous comparison between the freeware FBW A20N and the payware Fenix A320 is you. To you it's a little thing, to others, me included, it's a little cheeky. Basically this was their business model all along, get the first group to buy to subsidise the development of the A319/321. Great, go for it but 2 years? Not for a new aircraft, but for engines and wingtips....2 years! I fly both aircraft because A Pilot's Life requires me to have the A20 & A320 so I' m sweet,. Still, it doesn't diminish my rights to feel dismayed at the "delay" 2 freaking years, geez!

A nonsensical opinion, is one that is less valid. Out of interest, when you are in the cockpit of your FENIX, how exactly does not having sharklets affect you? Or are you particularly concerned about your VAs profit margin and saving on fuel?

    Go figure yourself

What would really make me buy the Fenix is an ACJ version. I generally fly bizjets and the PMDG BBJs so an ACJ would be amazing.

In essence, you are frustrated because you waited for 2 years. Then let me tell you, you clearly don't have an idea on how even the smallest detail can require so much time for a developer, freeware or professional one, also taking note real life may come out first and other potential problems during development/platform wise. Also, i didn't compared fbw product versus fenix one at all. It's the OP who compared it instead clearly saying he would have stick with FBW, then tf are you replying even when you're not making a point considering my personal feedback to a consequent feedback? Just get lost and read carefully what JeromeJ said too, which is what you have to do to recover.

I love how Fenix fanboys defend the sharklet issue but have no problem with PMDG getting bashed over the EFB issue, which in itself is just as pathetic and inexcusable for their purchasers. Sharklets should be a non-issue. IT is an issue because it was promised on day one and one of the easiest fixes they could have delivered on. There might be 3 people who would have been upset if the fuel burn rate was of 3-4 lbs per hour, but those are the same 3 people that give a sh%# about working circuit breakers sitting at their desk pondering what kind of imaginary failures they could create with them. The other 12 million of us just want what they promised without waiting 2 years. They already said they have changed the model so why in the hell didn't they just add the sharklets and avoid this subject of contention to begin with? Frame rate news is good but the whole "Buy a new package so we can afford to change the wing tips is utter nonsense for those of us who already paid for them thinking they were coming in a free update in 2022. FBW does get some sort of a pass because I didn't PAY for it.

Looks like you don't care about quality. Go back to boring fbw then.

You realize it takes time to create a new engine model. And you realize there striding for the most realistic possible engines, do you? Sounds like you want low quality asobo iaes to me. BE PATIENT

I see. If you think i'm a Fenix fanboy, you clearly didn't understand a single thing. Have a nice day.

The fact that you even spent a penny on that shit...

Can't speak for anyone else other than me, but I purchased the Fenix a320, as well as the PMDG 737 fully knowing it'll take at least a year to develop the IAE/EFB, hence I'm not bashing either company. Frankly what would I bash them for? Delivering me a great quality product, at a reasonable price?
Secondly, no one is forcing anyone to buy the a319/21 package, it's the same model as with dlc's, you don't need them to fully enjoy your game, but the people that do buy it allow the company to develop their game further, rather than moving onto another product.
Both Fenix and PMDG could just say "well, since we don't profit from V2/EFB, let's go develop a330/777". You could be stuck with a mediocre quality CRJ from Aerosoft, who did move on, instead of the great quality a320.
Lastly, keep in mind that no one is forcing you to buy the a319/21 package, and no one forced you to buy the aircraft. No deadline for V2 was ever provided, only that it will come at some point in the future. Next time you make a purchase, read what you're buying, and don't complain when you get what you were promised.

Dude, A321 and A319 in a single package costing £39,99? Im on it, go check toliss, they charge you 90 dollars for each model. About the performance issue, this is the cost of a whole new model in a whole new platform, fenix sim has a substantially less structured team compared to PMDG, im sure they gonna improve performance in future upgr

OP is the one that compared the FBW to Fenix by stating the Fenix would continue to collect dust on his SSD. Someone also compared the sharklets to the EFB of PMDG. The two cannot be compared, one is simply visual for the most part, the other is a much bigger task. One I thought PMDG would have been up to the task for, but after this long, they better come out with one hell of a EFB. Personally, the sharklets are not something I even thought about getting upset about. Fenix released the most advanced add-on by far, first. Not everyone can assemble a large group of people that will work for free on an aircraft. Look how long the 380 is taking, and is still a long ways out. FBW has done amazing things, I am not discounting that at all. However, this type of development requires incredible amounts of time, that require most dev's to make it their only job. Being upset that they need to ensure financial stability first and foremost for the company and themselves and their families is just a bit selfish and totally ridiculous. It amazes me everyday how spoiled people are and how it has completely changed expectations of people to the point of being completely ridiculous, and then having to hear them cry about it when they don't get what they want fast enough. Grow up, think about other people than yourself and what their situations might be.

I'm glad they move forward with development. I really hope the performance will be better now. A319 and A321? Fantastic! I'll get them too.I really hope they will bring time warp to x4. Last time I spoke with them thay said it's planned.

I think Fenix simulations is make a330 in stead of a a319 and a321

The performance improvements are the most exciting part of this...check out the numbers on their website.

Fenix V2 comes with visual improvements as well, hence why it's taken so long to pump it out. Not going to mention PMDG because it's irrelevant to these two planes, but, there's a big difference between the Fenix team and FlyByWire team. FlyByWire's team has a vast scope, because it's free and open source. Fenix is not. Don't compare what's possible from these two teams without mentioning the resources each have. Enjoy what you want, but let others enjoy this announcement. If you don't want to fly it, don't. No one is forcing you to do so. You're entitled to your own opinion, and the aircraft you choose to fly. But don't bash those who want to enjoy the Fenix.

The word "Bashing" is used a lot here. Must be a lot of liberals onboard this ship. Any criticism is perceived as a personal attack and therefore "Bashing". Opposing opinions must be squashed immediately, agree with us or you will be canceled and forced into submission. Yeah, no thanks. I'm not cancelable. Been doing this MSFS thing for nearly 40 yrs and spent God knows how many thousands on it. If I spend my money, I can criticize a product all day long. It's funny how there are so many keyboard warriors here taking up their swords for an imaginary airplane. That's right folks, unless you ARE a real pilot, you ARE NOT real pilots and you won't be landing the airbus anytime soon when the pilot passes out. Neither will I. Unless you actually fly a real airbus, none of you have any business lecturing the rest of us on realism and authenticity. I also do not need lectures on development as I'm quite certain I could bang out some sharklets in 3DS in about an hour. To each his own. I bought this on day one without the sharklets and I'll buy the 319/321 without the sharklets as long as the performance issues and pitchy behaviors are improved in this update. Sharklets are only an issue because the DEVELOPER said they were going to be added in a free upcoming update. They did not say in 2024 and there simply isn't a reason not to have them if the exterior model was redone as they have stated.

Will Fenix enable use of the co-pilot?

Comparing Toliss who develop for a sim with a much smaller userbase is sily, and I wish people would stop doing it.

    Perfect, I've been waiting for this!!! 😀 😀 😀

May of 2022 was 2yrs ago???

I refrained from wasting money on LVFR products, despite the temptation, it's better to not incentivize mediocre work.

I couldn't have said it better myself although, I did purchase one of their substandard tryouts. On the other hand, I won't be in any hurry to prop up the financial security of Fenix futuristic excuses. In my opinion they have let their customers down really badly and I'm just going to make sure the next effort isn't going to be a bag full of empty promises. When was the V2 supposed to hit the sky? It did at some point and fell down with a big thud. And now, we are going to be paying almost the same again for some bug fixes with shine. Not this black duck. I've got 3 from PMDG so far and they all work perfectly out of the box. They don't skate around the runway at landing like crabbing on ice. I'm just waiting on the 777 from PDMG. BTW, the freeware from Asobo behaves better than Fenix, not to mention FBW A32nx. It's not much use to have a pretty cabin with view, you don't conduct the flight from there. Nope, not a $ will leave my account in support for the Fenix development until such time they have some convincing results to show.

Because of the initial comments. Some people thought it was the best thing since sliced bread but after trying it myself, I don't agree with all of those positive comments. I get a lot more joy out of A3nx and stock Asobo. Furthermore, I expect a lot more for that price.

It has been greatly delayed, the a321 was promised for the end of 2023 or the beginning of this year, it would be interesting to know the reasons, the anxiety around the a321 is there

I actually really support Fenix, having done maintenance on A320s, I can tell you it's pretty true to life, definitely the purchase I'm most satisfied with for MSFS. Most of their dev team was based in Ukraine, so they have a valid reason for delays. They have been communicative and open with their customers, unlike firms like Aerosoft and Captain Scam. I don't have any major problems with their A320.

Why has the launch of the a319, a321 and sharklets been so delayed? We are already in July and still nothing, the articles that I have found as references are old.
